In short, Fiorentina are in the process of suing Mutu. Marotta has a good relationship with Corvino. Theyre claiming a deal could be made that suits all parties involved, with Mutu coming to Juve on loan until June. Fiorentina wouldn't have to pay his wages, Juve replaces Quags and Mutu gets a last chance to revive his career.

I can't see how anyone thinks this team is moving in the right direction. I understand it takes time but at least show you're moving into the right direction. Mutu wouldn't solve any problems. He's a problem of his own. You don't sign Cassano because he's a head-case but you turn around and sign Mutu??? You let Trez go because he's old then sign Luca Toni??? Luca Toni at 20 bucks a year is a waste of money. What does it matter?? How do you guys have faith in this team?? What makes you think they're taking the right steps?? DeCeglie?? I've heard that name thrown around like he was Roberto Carlos. Who else do we have?? The blundering partnership of Chiellini and Bonucci?? Let's see how Mutu does but once again I'll never understand the rationale of this management.

This team made the right steps. With all our players healthy this team is a scudetto contender. Everything is falling to pieces right now. I don't think our management planned on buying Toni in the beginning of the season, he's just a quick/cheap fix to one of our problems until we can look for a long-term solution in the summer. In all fairness,(and sadly) a top 4 finish is an improvement on last year's 6th place finish.

Perhaps I'll be proven wrong, but I'm not sure a Del Neri-coached side could ever win the scudetto. I think his system's good for bringing out the best of limited teams but I don't think that the brand of football he has his teams play will ever be enough to make that leap in quality to make a team a true Scudetto-contender.

This is Serie A post-2006, though. You don't need to be world class to win the Scudetto, especially considering Inter's terrible first half of the season. I agree with the sentiment, however. If Delneri's Juve can't win lo Scudetto within the next couple of years, Juve will probably never win it under Delneri. This was our best opportunity, but with Quag's injury, Toni's buy and Amauri still in our starting 11, I have given up hope for this season.
