Dzeko for 25-30 mil?? Not worth it. The risk is too high with little reward. The issue is that these players cost too much money. The Juve scouts need to a better job in finding players on the cheap before they break out.

Luis Fabiano 12m. Pazzini 15m. Benzema 20m. Cassano 5m.

The problem is that, besides Benzema, these players are all too old for Juventus' management. We like to sign players who are still labelled as having potential. Potential is a four letter word in sports. Everyone has it, only a few realize it.

If we continue on the path of buying 6-8 average players every transfer period as opposed to 1-2 world class players and 2 developmental projects, we are in some big trouble. BTW, this loan system is cute, but sooner or later we are going to need to make some real moves.

I agree that Dzeko is too much.

Keep your eyes on Benfica's Fabio Coentrao and David Luiz, FC Porto's Fernando and Hulk, and Gareth Bale.

Ziegler's going to Malaga for only 3.5m. He'd clearly be an upgrade over De Ceglie.

We're supposedly in talks with Schalke for Ivan Rakitic, which might see Sissoko in the opposite direction.

And we were close to Macheda but Ferguson does not want to loan with option to buy, he just wants to loan him and bring him back to Man U.

Rakitic is not a good fit
Cigarini will be the # CM on the team. He is not the DM we need.
Macheda was signed by Sampdoria, he was not the solution anyways.

We need to slide Bonucci to RB and get an experienced D-Line leader at the back to avoid these mental breakdowns that are going to continue to happen with two stupid CBs.

We need an attack minded LB like Taiwo, Vargas, Balzaretti, Coentrao, Emanuelson, Bale, Bastos, or Mesto.

We need a Defensive midfielder who can cover for this aggressive LB and is capable of playing CB for depth and when Chiellini slides over to attack the vacated space left by the LB.

We need two strikers who work hard. One of them needs to be a natural goal scorer.

Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko has given Juventus 48 hours to make him an official offer, or else he will complete his move to Manchester City, Goal.com International can reveal. The Bosnian has been the centre of intense media speculation over the past few weeks, with the English press adamant that only personal terms separate the hitman from finalising his transfer to Eastlands.

The Italian media has long since claimed that Dzeko would prefer a move to Serie A in order to join long-term admirers Juventus, who were very close to signing him last summer before they instead used up their one non-EU berth on CSKA Moscow’s Milos Krasic. The Old Lady did obtain an option on Dzeko, though, as part of the deal that saw Brazilian playmaker Diego move to Wolfsburg for a cut-price fee of €15.5 million.

Goal.com International has now learned that Dzeko – who due to Serie A EU rules cannot join Juventus until the summer – is desperate to move to the Bianconeri at the end of the current campaign and has handed them a 48-hour ultimatum to present an official offer.

If this is not forthcoming, then Dzeko will instead complete his transfer to Manchester City, most likely on Thursday, for a fee in the region of €32m. City and Wolfsburg have already agreed upon a transfer fee, but the Bosnian has yet to give the green light as he clings onto hope of Juve.

A source close to the player told Goal.com: "Dzeko has made it clear many times that Serie A is his favourite league and that he wants Juventus.

"However, he cannot wait around forever. We are talking about one of the best forwards in the world and Edin must think as a professional too. He cannot wait any longer than 48 hours. It is in Juve's hands, but they are running out of time."

You don't think so? I tend to agree that there aren't many players worth such a fee and paying over the odds can happen in situations like this, but a top-class goalscorer is possibly worth such a high amount. I'm not saying Dzeko is that, I admit I haven't watched a whole lot of him, but his goalscoring record is pretty impressive over the last number of seasons and he is rated highly so maybe he is worth it, I don't know. Juventus are seriously lacking upfront I think, and so he could be a key player for you.

I don't see how putting Bonucci to RB could possibly be a good idea.

He is at his weakest when a forward is running at him (because he gets himself too square - something a 10 year old should know not to do), so putting him to a position where he is more likely to be exposed to this seems odd.

One can argue Juve need a better partner for Chiellini than Bonucci, but I see no reason just now to believe Bonucci is a better right back than Grygera or Sorensen.
