Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is waging a relentless campaign to join Milan in future, dazzled by the lure of playing alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Speaking to Tuttosport after being awarded their Golden Boy 2010 award, Balotelli said: "I will tell Ibrahimovic to carry on calling me so one day his desire comes true and I will be able to wear the Milan shirt," referring to Ibrahimovic's calls for the player to join him at San Siro.

However, before leaving England, Balotelli aims to fire City to Premiershit glory.

"[I want to win] two things, the Premiershit and Europa League - a trophy I have not won yet and I think we are the favourites."

Balotelli then showed his appreciation for the gong - given to players under 23 who have performed well during the year.

"I am very happy to have won Tuttosport's Golden Boy award. Two years ago I finished sixth, last year fourth, and so now it was my turn to win," he said.

Antonio Cassano will make his debut for Milan against Fabio Cannavaro's Al-Ahli side in Abu Dhabi.

The 28-year-old Italy international, who is currently on holiday in London, will fly out with Milan on January 27 to attend their annual winter training camp in Dubai.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands his signing will become official on January 3.

However, he is likely to make his debut a day before that date in a friendly against Al-Ahli.

Cannavaro joined the Dubai-based outfit in the summer after Juventus agreed not to offer him a year extension on a rolling contract.

It's understood that Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri will look to get Cassano fit again simply by playing him, just like he did with Robinho earlier this season.

Cassano is expected to return to Italy today and spend Christmas back in Bari before hooking up with his new teammates.

Why would you guys go for Ziegler? That seems a really strange move to me. He's a good player for sure, but you already have a number of good fullbacks. What you need is a top-class fullback (or two). I can see why we were interested in Ziegler over the summer as a back-up to/competition for Riise but then we only had one left-back at the club (since Antunes wasn't considered up to it). At that level he would have been a good addition - he's a very competent Serie A fullback. You guys already have loads of ordinary/fairly good fullbacks, though. Save yourself some money, then, Berlusconi, until you're ready to buy yourself some Cointreau.

Milan believe Antonio Cassano will not let the chance of re-establishing himself slip through his fingers as they lay down the law before he arrives.

Although he has not joined the club officially, voices from Milanello indicate a deal is as good as done. Club chief Leandro Cantamessa hopes Cassano delivers, reminding him a lack of discpline is often a high stakes game and will not be tolerated.

"I have seen him play little, but this is a last chance for him and Milan is the maximum he could have wished for," Cantamessa told Calciomercato.it.

"He has been lucky. I don't believe he will want to let this occassion get away from him.

"He has the talent and so he will not fail this chance as it won't happen again."

Ronaldinho's exit appears to have been sealed as Brazilian clubs line up to sign him, pending authorisation from Milan.

"It's a club choice," added Cantamessa.

"And the coach has made it clear what he thinks."

i think the respected climate at milanello should cater to cassano. i'm unfamiliar of what happened with him at roma, but at real madrid there is always a lot of pressure. but he isn't coming with a huge transfer fee, and he's surrounded by players of the highest caliber, and some great friends (gattuso), hopefully he slots right in and just tries to do his best game in game out.

i'm just worried about what will happen when he doesn't start a few games, which is inevitable. it's good to know that allegri requested him, so we know that allegri has a clear idea of what cassano can add to the team. it's also fair to say that cassano is here to replace ronaldinho, not pippo.

inter's treble is the best thing that could've happened to us. galliani said it best when he said that berlusconi is the first person to be sick of being behind inter, and now he's come out guns blazing. and it will be funny if leonardo replaces penistez at inter, i don't think he can improve their fortunes that much.

"Gremio president Paulo Odone has revealed that the club have agreed terms with Milan playmaker Ronaldinho. The 30-year-old began his career with the Porto Alegre outfit, making his debut in the 1998 Copa Libertadores.

With Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano on his way to San Siro, it's been suggested that the Brazilian star is keen to leave after falling behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho in the pecking order up front and now the player is expected to speak with the Rossoneri about a divorce.

"On the part of Gremio and Ronaldinho everything is already set," Odone explained to RBS TV.

"What remains now is for [Ronaldinho's agent Roberto de] Assis to negotiate the release of the player from the Italian club. The important thing is that Ronaldinho wants to return to Gremio, where his house is and where he learned football."

Parma’s Alberto Paloschi and Luca Antonelli will join Genoa in January, with Raffaele Palladino and Francesco Modesto moving in the other direction.

Reports this evening are suggesting that terms were finalised earlier today in Rome, with the moves set to be made official on January 3.

Genoa will pay €7m to the Tardini outfit in total, a figure which sees them take total control of left-back Antonelli but only a half-share in striker Paloschi.

Palladino joins Parma in a co-ownership too, but Modesto’s move is permanent.

Genoa and Parma simply swapped their co-ownership deals for Paloschi and Palladino, who are still half-owned by Milan and Juventus respectively.
