Flamini and Ambrosini are one-dimensional: now you've read the news, digest it. Gattuso and Pippo are one-dimensional, however excellent they are in that one dimension.

For Serie A, apart from this year would probably have to go back to 2006 though we did have a couple of mini challenges since then.

Which is proof that Ambrosini's worthy of a place in a Milan contending for things?

I never rated Ambrosini. In fact, I think he sucks.

Yes, I knew you'd say that, maro, and the answer is No. In fact, if it wasn't for Ambro stepping up in that 06/07 year, freeing up Seedorf to play AM in the Xmas tree formation, we'd not win CL that year We've been failing since then because the management went cheap and basically either got us garbage players or none at all. In fact, over these years, our midfield has been the area which changed the least in terms of personnel so for us to all of a sudden get better this year despite only 1 change in midfield (Boateng) shows that it was not midfielder's personnel issue as they're essentially the same. it was about finding the right balance and mix there. I'm not saying I agree that our midfield needs no upgrade, but that's just a logical analysis of things.

In other areas like attack, for example, we simply had to get quality players signed, so that's a different story there.

I'm not here to claim Ambro is an all-world player, but he's been one of our better midfielders these last few years more often than not. You can not pin our slump in recent years on him.
