so reading what they are saying they think we are slow and past it still and are comparing us to the Team of 08 when we lost to Arsenal, shows how much they know because we still had Emerson that season if we play the midfield of Flamini, pirlo and gattuso with Boateng as the AMF (assuming Cassano signs and can't play) with Pato or Robbie and Ibra upfront that seems pretty good, if we can get some defensive reinforcements in january as well we might have a chance, even though Zambro isnt quick hes got the exp to handle Lennon and Abate against Bale would be good because as we know he is fast as feck so should be able to keep up with him if he trys to tear away, lets just try and keep injury free until then!

Milan director Umberto Gandini has welcomed the Champions League draw which sees them paired with Tottenham in the last 16 - a game that will be "fascinating and interesting" as he relishes the trip to White Hart Lane.

Gandini expressed some relief as Milan avoided Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea. But he acknowledged Spurs will be no pushovers after they beat Inter in the group stages.

"You are never happy after the draws. We play against the group winners and are playing against a great side. It will be a great and interesting game," Gandini told Sky Sport Italia.

"Playing in England is always fascinating. There are always extraordinary games in England, and I am happy Milan will play at the Lane."

Gareth Bale has become the byword of Tottenham brilliance in Europe, but Gandini said the focus stretches beyong the Welshman.

"Bale? He is an excellent player like Peter Crouch, Rafael Van der Vaart and others. They have excellent players," he added.

"But we are in good form, the team is doing well. Milan are an agressive, offensive but balanced team.

"Tottenham have a good coach and play well, but they too will concede. I am convinced Milan will do well at the Lane."

well, it could've been worse. tottenham's got a fast team, but considering we dealt with real reasonably, i think tottenham shouldn't be too difficult for the team.

the key will be pirlo, we just have to slow the tempo of the game and play it at our pace. and hopefully abate doesn't have a too much of a problem with gareth bale, he should be able to handle him.

as long as thiago and nesta are fit, we should beat them.

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has said the club are looking to bolster the squad during the January transfer window - and not just in attack with Antonio Cassano.

A deal seems in place for the 28-year-old Sampdoria man after both Milan and the player admitted on Friday early signs were good.

But, Galliani plans to add players across the board. And there could be big business.

"We strengthened the team in the summer, and if there is a chance we will also do it in the winter in more positions, not just up front," he told Milannews.it.

"We have become tired of staying behind Inter. We have always been proud and we are the club that has won the most trophies in the world.

"We have to stay close to the team, when we win, and when we lose."

There will be plenty of time to discuss transfers but, for now, we have an important game to worry about today...the last game before Xmas has traditionally been a tricky one for Milan where points often get dropped...would love to run through last game of the year the last 7-8 seasons but I'm fairly certain we've lost/drawn quite a few of them, I hope the players minds won't be in holiday mode just yet as this has been the problem with Milan on several occasions

Rino seems to be back, which is awesome news for us...we should use the same midfield lineup we've used the last 2 Serie A games...Boateng in the hole with Pirlo-Ambro-Rino lining up in the middle of the field...if we can take hold of midfield, and I expect us to do that, then things would be much easier...this is the last game where we have some difficult absentees to deal with, the new year should see us recover most of them.
