Have you anything to back up the claim that most fans think the game is currupt?

You have your heart set on technology being used, so I don't expect you to agree with me. That does not, however, mean my points are unreasonable/lacking credibility/illigitimate.

Feel free to set out some parameters on how technology should be used, instead of just saying it wouldn't slow the game.

I don't want football to become like American 'football', where it takes about seven hours to complete a game.

The sport most similar to football that I watch regularly and see technology in use, is rubgy. It is astonishing how often the evidence is inconclusive and does nothing but kill the game for a couple of minutes.

I want the action replays and not just the goal-line sensor Blatter has intimated as being as far as he will go for the present.

So it's still preferrable and permissable in FIFA's eyes to continue as is, whereby a team can be knocked out of a prestigious competition or even relegated thanks to an offside goal? Bah!

Blatter says he wants "a new age of transparency" at Fifa

Fifa president Sepp Blatter says he wants to set up an anti-corruption committee to police world football's governing body.
The move comes after allegations of corruption dogged Fifa throughout the bidding process and voting for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
Blatter said: "This committee will strengthen our credibility and give us a new image in terms of transparency.
"I will take care of it personally, to ensure there is no corruption at Fifa."
Blatter told Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung the committee would consist of seven to nine members "not only from sport but from politics, finance, business and culture".
And the Swiss confirmed he would not sit on the committee himself as he wanted to guarantee its independence.
The move to set up an anti-corruption unit will raise questions about the future of Fifa's ethics committee, which investigated claims of corruption last year.
Following the investigation, Fifa's executive committee members Amos Adamu and Reynald Temarii were suspended over allegations they offered to sell their votes during bidding for the World Cup, something the pair vehemently denied.
They both subsequently missed December's ballot in which Russia was chosen to host the 2018 tournament and Qatar the 2022 event, following a secret vote by the remaining 22 committee members.
During the bidding process for the World Cups, Fifa was also forced to investigate rumours of collusion between member associations and their bid committees in relation to the 2018 and 2022 World Cup bidding process.
At that time, Fifa secretary general Jerome Valcke warned all countries that mutual voting deals were against Fifa rules.
The 2018 Spain-Portugal and 2022 Qatar bids were cleared of collusion in the investigation.
A BBC Panorama programme broadcast three days before the World Cup vote alleged three Fifa officials, Nicolas Leoz, Issa Hayatou and Ricardo Teixeira, took bribes in the 1990s.
Denying any wrongdoing, vice-president Hayatou has threatened to sue while Leoz and Teixeira are said to have also denied wrongdoing.
Fifa said at the time the case was "definitely closed" as allegations had already been investigated in Switzerland, with no Fifa officials being convicted.

Fifa has quashed talk of a winter World Cup in 2022, saying it has no plans to change the international calendar and that any switch of dates would have to be proposed by the Qatari hosts.

Qatar has already said it wants to stage the tournament in the summer as presented in its bid. "Any potential move of the 2022 Fifa World Cup from a summer to a winter period would have to be initiated by the football association of Qatar and would have to be presented to the Fifa Executive Committee," Fifa said in a statement.

"At this stage there are no concrete plans to change the international match calendar."

The statement appeared to mark a U-turn by football's governing body as the Fifa president Sepp Blatter said this month that he expected the tournament to be staged in the winter.

Blatter's comments echoed those of other leading figures, including the Uefa president Michel Platini, who even suggested that Qatar could co-host the event with some of its neighbours.

However, Mohammed Bin Hammam, the Qatari president of the Asian Football Confederation, said the 2022 World Cup hosts would resist efforts to reschedule the tournament. "We submitted a bid suggesting we are going to be ready in June and July. And we said we are going to face all the challenges and we are going to meet all the requirements," Bin Hammam told Sky News last week. "Our focus is June, July. It is never our interest to change one week beyond June and July."
