Le notizie sul Fenomeno sono sempre meno allegre
Oramai sono due-tre righe, relegate ai margini del mondo-Milan. Eppure sono poche righe che inquietano e allarmano. Già, perché riferiscono che Ronaldo, il Fenomeno, sarà pronto dopo la metà di novembre, dopo Scozia-Italia del 17 novembre, ovvero -tanto per ripetere il mese citato- domenica 25 novembre, Cagliari-Milan, tredicesimo turno di campionato. Un mese ancora per rivedere Ronie in campo, quattro mesi perché possa guarire da un infortunio di fine luglio e per il quale -si diceva- occorreranno due-tre settimane per rimettersi a posto.

Cosa ci sta di nascosto, di misterioso e di inquietante? Tutto, o niente. Il presidente Berlusconi, la scorsa settimana, aveva evitato di sancire appuntamenti frettolosi. Dicendo: Ronaldo deve essere pronto per il Mondiale in Giappone a inizio dicembre. Lui ci dovrà portare la Coppa Intercontinentale. E così dev'essere, così sarà. Fermo restando il problema che angoscia Ancelotti in zona-gol: puntava molto (tutto) sul Ronaldo d'autunno. Spera di averlo, vestito d'inverno.

AC Milan may be going through one of their most difficult periods of the last two decades but coach Carlo Ancelotti is not about to panic ahead of the visit of FC Shakhtar Donetsk, vowing: "I'm not going to make drastic changes."

Home misery
The European champions are ten points behind leaders FC Internazionale Milano in Serie A and lost 2-1 at Celtic FC in their last UEFA Champions League outing to fall three points behind Group D leaders Shakhtar. In fact, the 2-1 defeat of SL Benfica on Matchday 1 is the only home win for the Rossoneri in all competitions this season, their latest setback being a single-goal reverse against struggling Empoli FC on Sunday. "We keep on losing our balance every time we don't manage an early goal, and this is a big mistake," Ancelotti said. "We must win more ball in midfield, be quicker in possession and gamble less in defence."

Shakhtar ambition
However, Ancelotti is not expecting Shakhtar to be as cautious as most visitors to Milan. "This game will be different because Shakhtar are a complete team with no weak points and will come to San Siro to play their own game," he said. "They have changed a lot compared to last season, adding talented players in midfield and playing very technical football with a Brazilian flavour. It will be a very balanced game because their coach, Mircea Lucescu, knows Italian football very well and will try to make our lives difficult."

Kaká concern
Suspended goalkeeper Dida will be replaced by Zeljko Kalac while Giuseppe Favalli should come in for the injured Marek Jankulovski at left-back with Kakha Kaladze in the middle as Paolo Maldini, having made a comeback against Empoli, is not ready to play two matches in quick succession. Ancelotti's biggest concern, though, is last term's tournament top scorer Kaká, who is struggling with a knee problem. "He is a big question mark," Ancelotti admitted. "We still have one day, let's see if he can recover or not." If not, Alberto Gilardino and Filippo Inzaghi should start in attack.

Visitors in form
Unlike Milan, Shakhtar are flying domestically as well as in this group, though they suffered their first Ukrainian Premiershit loss of the campaign at FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih on Saturday, also a 1-0 home defeat. Lucescu has no injury or suspension worries and is hoping for an improvement from key men Nery Castillo and Cristiano Lucarelli, the latter returning to Italy having left AS Livorno Calcio in the summer.

Possible backlash
Lucescu is wary about a backlash from the holders, however. "Milan cannot afford to lose two home games in a row so the atmosphere will be hot," he said. "They will try to score early so they can open up space – they are lethal when they have space. They know Shakhtar are a good side with good ability. We will not change our usual approach. We cannot play like Empoli did here on Sunday. We are not coming to defend. We want to receive the plaudits of San Siro."

if we drop points in this game - which is a very real possibility - we can wave goodbye to topping the group and facing another celtic-like team in the first knockout round. the scary thing is that shakhtar are a damn good team and we are not at 100% since kaka might not even play. worse yet, favalli will start at lb. we will see, i guess, how we will respond to this pressure.

There is good news for Milan ahead of tonight’s Champions League encounter against Shakhtar Donetsk as Kaka has passed a fitness test.

The Diavolo are preparing for a must-win game at the San Siro as they look to put a miserable spell behind them with three crucial European points.

Kaka has been struggling with a knee problem since returning from international duty with Brazil, but he seems to have overcome his niggle.

The Ballon d'Or favourite's recovery will come as a great relief to Coach Carlo Ancelotti after his side looked toothless against Empoli last weekend.

Alberto Gilardino is set to start as a lone striker with Pippo Inzaghi likely to feature as a substitute.

Milan (probable): Kalac; Oddo, Nesta, Kaladze, Favalli; Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Kaka, Seedorf; Gilardino.

it looks like i will miss this game (actually, it's certain) as i have a gay 25th anniversary gala of my office to attend. i might be able to catch the final 15 minutes, but i doubt i'd be able to catch a stream before the game ends. cursed tln didn't bother renewing their champions license. i think i just won't bother renewing my tln license.
