We never took control of the game, even in the worse moments of Real Madrid. We were unable to make more than 3 passes in a row, by knowing that generally, the first 2 passes were in our own side.

Pato and Ibrahimovic made only one good (very good) game together, but it's obvious they need to train to play together because that doesn't work.

Inzaghi brought the spirit of "Milan version 2003-2007 in CL" once he came in: fighting spirit, pressing, goals. Something all our other players or almost didn't do at all during the whole 90 minutes.

That's also a shame to see our oldest player being the one running the most.

We didn't deserve the draw, but somehow, we showed Milan is still Milan, and even in our worst games, we can get a result against any team. Pippo was running his heart out, we can draw, when other players will be also in form and run their hearts out too, we will be able to really compete with the best teams I think if the investment in January is correct and firstly there.

For the next game in Serie A, I'd send Ibrahimovic and Inzaghi supported by Robinho. That would send a message to both Ronaldinho and Pato: work (on the pitch) or be benched. Ibrahimovic and Inzaghi directly understood each other in few seconds/minutes and produced us an unlikley and lucky goal, but they all count, so I'd give another chance to Inzaghi with Ibra (before replacing him during the game as it's obvious that playing 90 minutes of all the games seems to become difficult for him, he needs a small rest).

Young defender Milan Milanovic could be on his way out of Russian outfit Lokomotiv Moscow as Serie A powerhouse Milan have shown an interest in signing the Serbian youngster, if a report on Sky Sport Italia is to be believed.

The Rossoneri are looking for a long-term replacement for the ageing Alessandro Nesta, and Milan supposedly see the 19-year-old Milanovic as the perfect solution to their defensive worries.

Milanovic has yet to develop into a first team regular at Lokomotiv Moscow, but the towering centre-back is considered to be one of the best defenders around in his age category.

However, Milan face stiff competition in the race for Milanovic's signature. Europa League hopefuls Juventus are also believed to be interested in signing the promising defender.

The centre-back's current contract with Lokomotiv runs until the summer of 2012, but the Russian side are ready to cash in on Milanovic in the January transfer window if a good offer comes in.

"Milan could scrap plans to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona on a permanent deal, according to Sport.es.

The news comes on the day Barcelona's figures showed the club could make a €35.9 million loss on Ibrahimovic if they were to sell him to Milan for a total €24m.

Barcelona paid €69.9m for Ibrahimovic from Inter in 2009. And when Milan signed him in the summer, it was initially for a loan deal for the first year - thought to have cost the Rossoneri €10m, under the understanding they would then have been obliged to take him on permanently.

However, the Spanish paper claims there is no obligation in the contract of sale between the clubs for the Italians to sign him permanently - meaning he could return to the Camp Nou at the end of his first season at Milan.

A decision as to whether Ibrahimovic joins permanently or heads back to Barcelona remains with the Rossoneri though as it is they who have a right to buy him.

That means they may decide to sign him for good for the originally agreed fee of €24m - inflicting heavy losses for Barcelona.

A scenario of seeing Ibrahimovic head back to Barcelona remains open though. Milan could always decide to let him go."

kicking a dead horse here, but i think our central midfielders put in a good shift yesterday. pirlo did what he could with oezil marking him (oezil was nowhere to be seen the whole game). alonso had a lot of time on the ball, that's why i was hoping ronaldinho would be moved to the middle so he could close alonso down.

abate, while not our best player, did a decent job against ronaldo. he had the pace to keep him in check, and gattuso did a great job of helping him out.

allegri needs to find a way to make use of pato's running ability. he ran into cul-de-sacs yesterday and it didn't help the team. allegri needs to be a bit more progressive with his tactics. we couldn't play the ball through the midfield because every man was marked, and the fullbacks were marking our widemen. just move pato to the middle and ask ibra to drop into pockets of space and get the ball rolling, allegri just needs to implement some small tweaks to the team can just get the ball rolling rather than booting it over the D-line.

we shouldn't lie to ourselves, we would've taken a 2-2 before the game. its a good enough result for a team in transition.

the MAN, cissokho is a LEFT back, not RB. so its between him and contrao. i prefer cissokho because he is bigger and blacker.

Milan Players Need To Give More - Gennaro Gattuso
Milan's Gennaro Gattuso has called on his team to reflect on their performance against Real Madrid.

Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso believes more effort and alertness against Real Madrid would not have seen his side throw away a win at the death of the game.

The Spanish side stole a point on 94 minutes when Pedro Leon struck a smash and grab equaliser, leaving Gattuso and Milan with heads in hands.

"We need to take examples from Flippo Inzaghi. We are not giving out best and we are struggling to give 100 per cent. We have to give more," he told Tuttosport.

"We cannot have players who don't give their soul. If we want to carry on playing like this then we need to have a balance from everyone.

i didn't think pato didn't try on wednesday; i thought he did alright, but he needs to play more clever. right now, he is just a one-trick pony. both he and ronaldinho are too easily taken out of the game. if they have no room to run with the ball, they are clueless. he has to learn from inzaghi. also, he played better when kaka was around as kaka is a way better role model for him to emulate than ronaldinho or robinho. and i have no reason to believe that kaka is finished. he had one bad season in madrid which he spent mostly injured.
