holy shit... we're missing more than half our starting XI this weekend. what the hell were Pizarro and Menez doing??

Brighi, Perrotta, Simplicio, J. Baptista to start the midfield?? Totti and Borriello up the park??

Perrotta's also been struggling with injury for the past 10 days, pocari, and has missed a number of training sessions and Taddei's only back for the first time in over a month. So, in addition to those who are missing the game, we'll have 6 or 7 players who are clearly not fully fit.

Oh and Okaka better get some playing time. If Menez is fit, the combination of Menez, Borriello, and Okaka would be a good one up front at some point in the game.

Yes, I wish Ranieri would just give the youngsters a run - Menez, Rosi, Okaka: sure we'd lose a few but at least we'd do it with energy and enthusiasm.

Agreed, but I would aslo like Okaka to get some playing time because I think he offers something different than Borriello. He wont't play with his back to goal the way Borriello does, and he can use his speed to run at defenses.

As for Rosi, I thought he did reasonably well whenever he played this season. Sure he's gotten burned a few times, but I don't think any of the other RBs we have at the moment are immune from that. Offensively he's an upgrade over Cassetti, and defensively he's an upgrade over Cicinho.

I suspect Ranieri has dropped Rosi because he was playing with too much aggression and committing too many fouls and running the risk of cards. With Okaka-Menez-Borriello we'd certainly have a bit more movement than we've had for a while.

Yeah, I remember he pulled him from a game for that reason, and then we didn't see much of Rosi after that. I guess Ranieri is handling it in a different way, but I thought Rosi would eventually find his way back into the starting XI.
