He'll be a good sub and a cover for one of trio upfront is out, and I don't think we should expect more from him than that.

it's a shame because i don't think we can sell him for more than 10m once the time comes for him to leave.

ideally, my front line would be pato and ibra supported by ronaldinho. if allegri can integrate more in-game versatility for the front 3, switching from 2 widemen and one striker to 2 strikers with a trequartista, that would be great. our last league game showed how ronaldinho's shock position in the middle befuddled the opponent's game plan, and it was probably the best game ronaldinho has played for us through the middle.

has anybody thought of picking up ancelotti's autobiography that was recently released? carlo was always a comedian, and apparently the trend continues. the funniest excerpt i read was about fat ronaldo who weighed 100 kilos but still was the fastest motherfucker on the team. either that's champagne for him or it just shows that our team is slow as shit.

Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri feels the next month could be crucial in determining his side’s title aspirations.

The Rossoneri face Real Madrid, Napoli and Juventus in the next three weeks in a schedule that should give a real indication as to this team’s strength.

Speaking at a sponsorship event, Allegri said: “It will be a decisive month for our season. We still lack a little in expressing all of our potential.

“Unfortunately, we seldom all work together. But the game against Parma left us with good indications.”

When asked about his first impressions of Ronaldinho as a trequartista, Allegri said: “He was happy and I was too.

“It was fun and then again he has all the qualities to play in that position. He can play everywhere. He is more at the heart of the play in that position with respect to when he plays wide-left.

“We can line him up this way or in a trident according to the opponent.”

Allegri also had praise for Alexandre Pato who scored again for Brazil last night in their friendly against Ukraine.

“He must give us a hand. He must grow and complete the jump in quality. He has all the means to do so.”

Finally, the 43-year-old was asked for his reaction to speculation linking Kaka with a return to the club.

“He is an extraordinary player, but I has not made any requests on the market. Milan are highly competitive as they are.

“We don’t have time to think about these things. The squad that I have is more than fine,” he concluded.

One week to go for the Madrid clash. For sure, this year feels different compared to last year as now we feel on equal footing...that said, and despite winning last year with an inferior Milan, ironically our odds of winning this one are pretty low, mainly because, by law of averages, chances of winning in Madrid 2 years running is pretty remote...I'd say we have 10% chance of winning, 30% tie, 60% Madrid....in San Siro, though, I believe we'll be heavy favourites to beat them

I didn't take that part too seriously but it's fucked up if we do that...I hope Milan and Dinho can agree on an extension (2-3 years) ..what makes this rumour BS is the fact that Dinho's deal expires this summer so we don't have much a of a leverage when it comes to selling him, he can leave us for free and in fact can openly negotiate with others starting January...Milan needs to lock up Nesta, Pirlo and Dinho within the next couple of months before January. The rest can wait.

ronaldinho hasn't done much this season to earn himself a contract, i think. he needs to step up and bring the same game he brought against lecce to all the games we play. he has to earn his contract, otherwise we just get a more dynamic midfielder to play in that role.

Alexandre Pato is ready to step into Zlatan Ibrahimovic's boots when Milan take on Chievo at the weekend.

Pato has enjoyed recent good form while on international duty with Brazil. And with Massimiliano Allegri planning to rest the Sweden striker ahead of next week's Champions League match against Real Madrid, the Brazilian is eager to lay down a marker up front.

"It's the best moment of my career," Pato told globoesporte.com.

"I am happy to have returned to the national team.

"I have confidence in my play. Moreover I am sure that by continuing to express myself to the maximum at Milan I will keep being called up to Brazil."
