I thought Zambrotta looked terrible last night - like he's lost about six yards of pace and with it his confidence and composure. It was a bit painful at times watching such a former champion look like a lame horse.

3-4-1-2? Wow. The tinker-man strikes. Or, actually, despite what all the sites are saying, a 4-4-2 with Cicinho down the right and Menez down the left? I have a sneaky suspicion it's the latter, but we shall see. Menez through the middle is, of course, where I want to see him play, but why Cassetti as the third CB if it's a 3-4-1-2?

we were pretty good yesterday, i thought that seedorf and gattuso had good games. ronaldinho looked good in the middle, parma looked surprised when we played with the diamond.

ibra missed his chances, but at least he got them. robinho moved well, but he's not as fast as i thought he would be. the pitch seemed to be in a horrible state yesterday, so it affected everybody including pato.

i can't say anything about pirlo that would glorify him enough, so i won't even try.

Yeah Pirlo scored a screamer, this is like his first Serie A goals in 2 years so he was due one, but I hope this doesnt fool people that he's turned the corner all of a sudden and is back to his old self. Not gonna happen IMO.

My issue with champions, or i should say ex-champions, in midfield like Pirlo,Seedorf,Rino and even Ambro is that nowadays they're no longer consistent in delivering on game-to-game basis, they can still show a flash of their class that may potentially win us a game once in a while. Over the course of a long season? NO, I don't feel comfortable playing them regularly if we are to want to win something. Unfortunately, they form 2/3 of our midfield lineup so it is what is for now...

Pato was rusty but he's fundamental for us and I believe he'll join Ibra as the other major outlet for our goals as the season goes on, Dinho won't score alot and Robinho is fucking crap...one thing I liked is seeing Dinho and Ibra beginning to develop a bit of telepathic understanding between each other, Robhino seems not to be on the same page though...of course I don't like Robinho but IMO he can be of some use to us if he comes off the bench for 20 mins or so and maybe start the odd game or 2 to rest one of the trio.

Somebody mentioned Abbiati and while I agree he's been generally good, specially at making reaction saves, he's still should've done better for about 2 goals of the 4 conceded in Serie A (2nd Cesena goal and Catania goal)...the main thing that scares me about him sometimes is his habit of punching the ball rather holding on it (set-pieces/crosses), sometimes u have to do that way but I've seen a couple of occasions where this was avoidable but he still punched it and got us in a bit of a risk....hasn't cost us yet but I'm afraid it might in the future...that said, it's likely Amelia won't do much better so probably Allegri is making the right choice here, given what he's got at his disposal...he's also generally been rotating players much better better than his predecessors.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has rejected claims that Rino Gattuso’s comments about Leonardo were nasty.

The veteran midfielder had said: “Who knows me knows that for me relationships are important and without them I find it hard work.

“There wasn’t a lot of feeling between Leonardo and I [last season].”

Gattuso was left out for much of the previous campaign and Galliani had to personally persuade him to stay at San Siro, offering him a new contract.

When asked to reflect on Gattuso’s statement, Galliani said: “I heard it, but it wasn’t nasty.

“He didn’t say anything against Leonardo.

“He simply said that he didn’t have a great feeling [with him].”

That's not too bad...I think he'll be back after the break and even if he isn't I have confidence in Amelia...as I said, I'm never 100% secure with Abbiati so maybe it's a good thing if he misses a game or 2 to see what Amelia is all about:D

WTF? True Ibra and Ronnie pick themselves, it's pretty obvious. But so should Pato. In other words, our 3 top forwards are all set in place. A scrub like Robinho can play off the bench and start once in a while when we're giving somebody a breather etc. End of story.
