Didn't see any of the game but just watched the highlights there. That fucking peno was a disgrace, if I were Mexes I would of chinned that linesman and knocked the ref out too for good measure. Philippe is a fiery bloke at the best of times so when he's pulled up for bullshit like that you know what's going to happen. Ridiculous decision. Was it the linesman who awarded it, yes? Fuckin eijit.

Also, I have never been Ranieri's biggest fan and have made that clear, but any talk of firing him at this stage is just ridiculous.

Roma's new signing Marco Borriello believes the penalties his side were denied in Brescia last night would have been given if it were Milan instead.

The Giallorossi lost 2-1 at the Rigamonti and felt the referee did them no favours, especially in light of Philippe Mexes' harsh sending off.

Interviewed on Sky Italia, Borriello said: “There were two, perhaps three penalties for us.

“These things never happened to us at Milan. [Last night] I understood the difference between playing for Roma and Milan.

“Anyway we are a great team and we will react. We know how to start again.

“To think that when Russo refereed a Milan match he even asked for my shirt. Now he won't even exchange a few words with me.”

MILANO, 23 settembre 2010 - Il difensore della Roma, Philippe Mexes, è stato squalificato per tre giornate in relazione alla partita Brescia-Roma di ieri. Al giocatore è stata comminata anche una multa di diecimila euro. Mexes si era infuriato dopo essere stato espulso dall'arbitro Carmine Russo, il cui operato ieri è stato oggetto di una vibrata protesta da parte della Roma. Il difensore francese è stato punito dal giudice sportivo "per comportamento scorretto nei confronti di un avversario" e "per avere inoltre, al 17' del secondo tempo, all'atto dell'espulsione, assunto un atteggiamento aggressivo ed intimidatorio nei confronti di un Assistente e per avere, poco dopo, rivolto un epiteto insultante al Quarto Ufficiale".

Mano Pesante — Il giudice sportivo di serie A ha sanzionato i dirigenti della Roma, Gian Paolo Montali e Daniele Pradé per essere entratI senza autorizzazione negli spogliatoi e aver rivolto espressioni irrispettose o ingiuriose all'arbitro. Pradé è stato inibito fino al 30 settembre mentre a Montali è stata comminata una multa di tremila euro. Ammenda di 5000 euro anche al giocatore Simone Perrotta per avere, al termine della gara, "colpito con un pugno la porta dello spogliatoio arbitrale". Il giudice sportivo Gianpaolo Tosel ha inibito il d.s. della Roma, Pradé, "a svolgere ogni attività in seno alla Figc a ricoprire cariche federali ed a rappresentare la società nell'ambito federale a tutto il 30 settembre 2010, per essere, al termine della gara, entrato negli spogliatoi senza autorizzazione e per aver contestato l'operato degli Ufficiali di gara rivolgendo all'Arbitro espressioni ingiuriose; infrazione rilevata anche dal collaboratore della Procura federale". Ammonizione con diffida ed ammenda di 3000 euro invece per il dirigente giallorosso Gian Paolo Montali "peressere, al termine del primo tempo, entrato negli spogliatoi senza autorizzazione e per aver contestato l'operato arbitrale rivolgendo al Direttore di gara espressioni irrispettose".

So a €10,000 fine and a three game ban for Mexes (Inter (h), Napoli (a) and Genoa (h)), a €5,000 fine for Perrotta for "for punching the door to the referee's changing room after the match", and "Montali and Prade have been banned until the end of the month for insulting the referee after the game" (). Fuckin positive news all round. Our fixture list only gets tougher from here, starting with Saturday nights little game.

Roma lose Julio Sergio for a month Thursday 23 September, 2010 - Football Italia (Channel4)

Roma have suffered another heavy blow after Julio Sergio was ruled out for a month following last night's 2-1 defeat to Brescia.

The Brazilian goalkeeper dislocated his foot in a challenge, but couldn't be substituted because Claudio Ranieri had already made three changes.

He was seen crying in agony in the final minutes of the match and clearly couldn't wait for the final whistle.

Julio Sergio underwent a series of medical tests this morning and the dislocation was confirmed.

Roma now have a goalkeeping crisis on their hands ahead of this weekend's match against Inter.

Both Bogdan Lobont and Alexandre Doni haven't convinced, although the latter is expected to get the nod.

Against Inter Carlo? Cici can't play defense to save his life. It's not like Brescia are world beaters so Cicinho faired well yesterday. However, I may need to re-evaluate my prediction of 4 goals by Inter to 6 now.

I just hope that Riise is ready for Inter.

Gio, I know he's no great shakes as a defender but at least he can attack and he will hold his nerve better than young Rosi will. I'm not worried about Cicinho nearly as much as I am about that damn gufo Doni!

I'm assuming you mean Cassetti on the right and Riise in his usual position on the left but I doubt if Ranieri will risk Big Ginger to be honest, so I'd say it has to be Cici on the right and Cassetti on the left. I'm undecided on what I'd want in our starting XI, truth to tell. De Rossi is out of sorts and though that's a problem, I wouldn't really want to see Simplicio in his place as an alternative against Inter, so perhaps Brighi...

I'm sure Totti will play most of the match, with Borriello and Menez. We may well see Baptista come on for Menez as the game wears on, seeing as Taddei is still out...



'Tec, Vuci had to be substituted. He was filled up with pain killers to even get him playing and he is clearly still not match fit after his layoff.
