my attention wasn't on the game full time, but i found it amazing how much better we looked when boateng came on for ambrosini. we were actually lucky to have him get injured, because otherwise it would have been the same shit, the same tired, old players who failed last year starting game in game out, and allegri would be scratching his head wondering why we're not winning. to be honest, i am not feeling optimistic about this season mostly because i do not have any faith in allegri. ambrosini has been a solid and loyal servant to the club, but he's not really starting material. make pirlo or nesta captain instead.

zlatan played well and looked dangerous many times, so i will give him credit there. he's still a bunny killer, though, as i won't consider auxerre to be a dangerous team.

Agreed about Ambro, I feel the captaincy is making it harder to drop him too.... I'd like to see Boateng-Pirlo-Flamini lineup in midfield at least for a couple of games to see what it can do, but the frenchman has to be fit again first of all.

About Allegri, I think he will come good but, yeah, he'd need to be more aggressive on some of the old guard and old habits of this team, sometimes I wonder whether Tassotti is influencing the selections behind the scenes

I liked very much Sacchi's << grande Milan >> but in spite of him, not because of him. He was a talented tactician who had no idea whatsoever on man-management! Perhaps it's as well Ibra held his tongue from the predictable response of referring to Sacchi as una folaga vecchia calva, a bald old coot, on Mediaset last night in retaliation over the "big feet" comment!

This makes amusing reading to those who like Milan and not Sacchi but it could've gotten out of hand though. The insulting "camel face" isn't known to be one of Mr. Ibrahimovic's favoured greetings when being addressed!

we said this after the preseason game against panathanaikos, allegri needs to set us up more cautiously for counterattacks. we got lucky yesterday, but we finally put the ball in the net with 2 wonderfully crafted goals. boateng nearly joined the party with a 3rd, but it wasn't to be.

i thought boateng was fantastic, he needs to be in the starting lineup.

With regards to the lineup and subs(or lack thereof), Allegri did his best given the players available...I do agree he seriously needs to address the issue with us getting caught on counters, specially it's a situation of set-piece for Milan in their own fucking half....I don't understand how we keep repeating the same mistake there, the players need to fucking realize that...although the goal did not come from such situation, but it's becoming annoyig

For the goal, there was no coverage as the player had clear sight of goal, however, if you notice in the replay, you'd see the idiot Abiatti strolling and not even looking at the action moments before the goal, I mean WTF, true the goal was right at the corner, but if he paid attention and got himself better positioned, he could've got to is

Also, WTF is Bonera doing to start, he has no place in the lineup, is Zambrotta that bad that Allegri starts that scrub ahead of him??

We defintiely missed Pato and Robinho overall. In general nobody was terrible or excellent, but Pirlo needs to step up his game if we're to starting winning games.

pirlo is sucking because he is isolated, as we saw in the first half. in the second, i'm guessing allegri told seedorf to stay back a little, and it gave boateng free reign to push forward. but seedorf's position is key.

pato and robinho would've easily made the difference, pippo, while fantastic, isn't made for 90 minutes.

i just hope pato's constant injuries are part of his 6 inch growth spurt he's had over the past 2 years, once his body gets settled with its mechanics, he should be good to go. then again, that is in the future, and for now we'll have to deal with these niggling injuries.

Flamini is apparently close to returning and I cannot wait to see him out there, with all due respect to the quartert of old guard midfielders who've won us so much (Rino,Pirlo,Seedorf and Ambro) but they've been nothing short of pathetic this season and if Allegri sticks with them then he's setting the team in trouble and of course he won't last long himself...Boateng and Flamini HAVE to start and maybe play Andrea with them...the days of this quartet consistently winning us games are long gone, everybody knows how stop them. Starting 2 of them is too much let alone 3. They don't have the legs to effectively push forward or track backward...which brings us to the issue of counter attacks and how every fucking team gets 10 3-on-2 counters in a game, ridiculous.

I'm still angry at that goal we conceded...our idiot of a goalie should've been able to get to it if he positioned himself for it...I've been a fan of Abbiati and probably never will, he doesnt generally give away howlers ala Dida but, on the other hand, he's incapable of making special saves...as much as stability in the back 5 is a good thing, Allegri should try Amelia IMO

Milan striker Kevin-Prince Boateng is loving the reception he is receiving from the Rossoneri fans since his summer arrival.

The Ghanaian striker joined Milan on loan from Genoa after signing for the port club from Portsmouth.

"When I have heard the fans sing my name the feeling has been incredible. I have never had such a crowd calling my name before, I felt happy like a child," he explained of the response during the weekend meeting with Catania.

"I did not know the fans felt that way, I only discovered it myself now. They are pleased to see me playing for this great club and if they consider me an idol it means I am already doing something good."

Good start or not, he realises there is more work ahead and already has his eyes on the clash with rivals Inter.

"When you move from a small club like Portsmouth to a great outfit like Milan it is fantastic. Inter are a very strong squad and won it all last year but that will be difficult to repeat as we have a strong side and will fight. The derby will be a fascinating challenge."

Regarding the clash with Lazio he is confident of success. "Lazio are a strong side, it won't be an easy contest but if we all give 100 per cent we can take home the three points."
