An interesting article on the Gazzetta. Amauri seems to be in talks with Roma for a possible transfer. Apparently, the LitM may be involved in the transfer deal too.

Yes, Avvocato, he was the one Domenico I could conjure, but clearly you know those sides of the late-seventies and early-eighties literally infinitely better than I do. I thought Maggiora was involved in some of the youth coaching at Rubentus for a while - I have vague memories of stumbling across this when the Tancredi shit hit the proverbial - which seems to make it less likely that he was running an American barbershop on the side, but one never knows.

Frenchesco, I'm sorry, my friend. For me it felt like almost a perfect repeat of the weekend before, only this time with the French on the other side of things. They played some good rugby in the first 20 minutes but then just tightened up horribly and the game was a shocker in the end. And I have to confess that when it comes to rugby I think I'd support the French against just about anyone other than the ABs. I have a soft spot for the Irish and the Welsh and, naturally, have to support Samoa and the other South Pacific nations, but you see I was raised on a diet of Sella and Blanco, Lagisquet and Camberabero (or however you spell his name): watching those guys cut defences to ribbons was how I was introduced to the magic of rugby. Not, of course, that the All Blacks didn't have a few good players back in the early 80s, too, but the Aussies were still pretty woeful, the Boks were banned, and the Poms were dire. Those Grenouilles, though, were just wonderful.
