Ed, much as I appreciate your humour re/the logo for that shirt, I think the only football team we could all afford, as Deini too jokes, is a joint share in one owned and run by our forum! A pity the Roma badge would then have to go, and the Kappa logo if they didn't make our shirts...

I also am seeing the suggested front pairing of Borriello-Totti in the usual Roma places and also that this will be Castellini's big moment! Ranieri's press conference tomorrow will be interesting!


Around 23:40CET this late evening, LaRoma24.it is telling us there will be a documentary named "La vita in diretta" shown on Rai Uno, which is devoted to the tifosi romanisti at our early summer ritiro in Brunico... The Rai tv guide however shows a program previewing Miss Italia 2010 is to be shown at that same time!

This sometimes happens in Italy, someone forgets to amend the page when there is a late program change. I wonder which of the two will be aired? Truthfully, much as I'd like to see the doc on our team and fans at Riscone di Brunico, the girls get my first vote! I rather think the documentary will be shown though and that's just fine too...

It won't be hard to find a 'net link for that and you guys should watch!

Gio, as Tommaso points out, i crocifissi tend to be much the same but I'm with you on the different greens as a colour. In contrast, Irish emerald green is brighter, almost electric. Italian green has a "regular" pigment.

As for the politics, maybe I'd have more belief if I didn't doubt the sincerity of so many of the activists...

No doubt dibbus would take the bait for 100 squid. Is that what you meant? Talk of 4-4-2 with Taddei down the right and Menez down the left, Vooch riding the pine, Mexes and Castellini in at the back. Sounds okay to me. I'd still rather we played 4-3-1-2 with Menez tucked in behind the front two, but perhaps that would clutter things - as I've said a number of times, I'm not sure Menez isn't best of all suited to playing when either Totti or Pizza's not on the pitch: perhaps in the 4-3-1-2 we'd have too many playmakers, too many cooks wanting to get on the ball, and not enough runners creating space for the others. Still, I'd like to see Ranieri give us more of a go that way.

Yeh something like that. The are today also reporting that Menez will be in and Vucinic will ride the pine but are suggesting it could be a tridente with Totti and GayHair upfront. Whatever formation it is remains to be seen, but with Menez in from the start and Taddei as well it could easily change during the game. Having Vucinic on the bench is a nice luxury. It may provide him with a kick up the arse to remind him to put in maximum effort in every game while he could (most likely will) come off the bench and bag a goal or two. So with Mexes at centre-half and Castellini at left-full, leaving Burdisso also riding the pine? I'm not sure if Ranieri will go for it, but hopefully Philippe has another stormer and makes it hard for Ranieri to drop him.
