Im glad this fucking International break is over lol....I love watching the WC and the Euros but cannot stand all these stupid qualifiers

Time for the real football....Serie A this weekend and CL next week, Im looking forward CL specially this year like no other year since maybe 2005 or so....ppl might hate groups of death, and I can see why, but it is surviving these sort of groups that can usually prove to be the springboard for a deep CL run for contenders in general...

Inter are ready to approach Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid over Kaka in an attempt to get back at Milan after they landed Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

That move caused further strain between the two Milanese giants, and Inter are now ready to break the tension barrier and sign the Brazilian.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports Mourinho's belief in Kaka has decreased following a less than perfect season in Madrid. Inter have taken note, and Rafael Benitez would be delighted at landing a star with Kaka's potential.

It would be a difficult move to pull off, but Mourinho's special relationship with his former club could tip the scales in their favour.

Benitez would also have to convince his chief Massimo Moratti to spend big money, which contrasts with the club's new line to scrimp when it comes to spending.

The Nerazzurri failed to land a megastar this summer, while Milan took advantage to sign Ibrahimovic and Robinho in one major swoop. That didn't go down well at Appiano Gentile.

Inter have become tired of Milan landing their former stars, with Ronaldo, Christian Vieri, Clarence Seedorf, Andrea Pirlo and of course 'Ibra' all having played for Inter before heading across town.

Kaka won't do it and I doubt Real will sell anyways, but again, I doubt Kaka will do it even if Real accepts

If this does somehow happen, I won't care much, Kaka's pretty much finished IMO....he was always gonna be the type of player who will decline rapidly, his style depends alot on explosiveness and pace rather than vision and elegance...these things go away once u reach a certain age

I always thought vision and elegance were the two qualities that most distinguished Kaka - and that compensated, in large part, for his just lacking the yard of pace that players like, let's say, Messi, Ronaldo, Pato, and Robinho all have.

i disagree with the man's assessment of kaka lacking vision and elegance, but i do agree that his pace/acceleration with the ball used to be second to none, and when that is gone, he will lose half of what made him such a special player.

Yeah, I suppose you're right - particularly his acceleration off the mark, I guess. I tend to think the fact that he can run as quickly with the ball at his feet as without it is as much a technical quality as a physical one and made him look quicker than he really is.

Sacchi doesn't see Milan success

People can’t wait to see the new all-star Milan, but Arrigo Sacchi is less than impressed. “Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho are soloists.”

The Rossoneri leapt to the top of the list of favourites after their summer spending spree.

“Massimo Moratti has given Rafa Benitez a highly competitive Inter without compromising the balance sheet,” wrote former Italy and Milan Coach Sacchi in the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“A super-motivated Inter still have the advantage in Italy and are our only possible favourite in Europe.

“On the contrary, the sudden change of strategy at Milan raised enthusiasm around a club depressed by the Inter victories and inadequate investment.

“Unfortunately, the ‘fan’ Silvio Berlusconi prevailed over the President. Ibra, especially in Serie A, is focused more on individuality than the collective.

“He is a great soloist who plays music at the highest level, but struggles to connect with his co-workers or benefit from that synergy,” continued Sacchi.

“Robinho is the classic Brazilian who has excellent technique, dribbling skills and pace, but is also accustomed to moving individually rather than as part of a collective.

“The Rossoneri fans may dream, but it’s a long way from when the club signed young talents (Roberto Donadoni, Marco Van Basten, Ruud Gullit, Franck Rijkaard, etc) and used Italians from the youth sector (Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Costacurta, Filippo Galli, Alberigo Evani, Demetrio Albertini).

“All these players were functional to the project, complimented each other with ascertained passion and professionalism.”

Sacchi, who now works co-ordinating the youth sectors for the Italian FIGC, was also unimpressed with Juventus.

“Their transfer campaign was plentiful, but lacking great names or possible young champions.

“I think at best Juve will be able to do OK. The lack of a midfield creative figure and the not extraordinary technique in the side will be a limitation for Gigi Del Neri’s football and their chances of success.”
