This loss is all on Benitez. That was the worst formation I've seen us line up in quite some time and why he was experimenting with that now I don't know. How hard is it to play the same formation that won us a treble last season instead of some christmas tree bullshit we've never used? It looks like he'll have to learn the same lessons as Mourinho; 1. Zanetti is no midfielder under any circumstances 2. Chivu is a backup LB and not a starter and 3. This team cannot hold onto the ball and is better on the counter unless more technical players are used. If we have to deal with his ego in not wanting to use what Mou did then we're trophyless this season.

Only positive this game was Eto'o and Cambiasso. The rest had a day to forget especially Milito and Cesar. Branca get the fuck out there and buy a proper LB please.

Chivu was bad even against Roma, so no surprises there. Zanetti has not been on form of late and its early in the season. He was taken of against Roma as well.

You guys are right though, the trophy was too important to experiment with a new formation. The midfield was all over the place. It is going to take some time for us to settle into the way Benitez wants us to play just like it happened under Mourinho. We probably will end up winning the Scudetto since it is a marathon and not a sprint. I don't expect us to win the CL or any one off competition.

I got the feelng that we were physically way behind our opponents. Of course the new formation didnt help either. And yesterday you see why Mourinho is a top notch manager. He get's the opponents to adjust themselves when they face us, not us adjusting according to our opponents like Benitez did. I'll give him some more time before I can pass judgement, after all even Moarinho had a difficult first season since he had to adjust himself according to Mancini's team. Let's see where this goes..

Theoretically it should be easier for Rafa. Jose had a heck of a lot of work to do to make this side the best in Europe. Even at the beginning of last seasons UCL we were lacking that confidence. He managed to turn things around and the rest is history. Rafa has a side that is full of confidence and plays with their heads held high. I just hope all that work Jose did, Rafa doesn't destroy within the first 6 months of this season and we see the confidence-less Inter again.

Benitez wants your team to learn to play some proper football. You should appreciate the intent and look forward to enjoying the results. Winning ugly is much easier than winning pretty.

The way i see it our opponents work as out and take counter mesures
we could not play the counter attack like Mou did ,have to find new ways
but benitez to me look lost
we was playng in the hands of atletico and he just keep on writing notes
no iniative , no vision ,at least could have tryd someting instead of looking how
patetic we look
atletico play the game as we use to and we became they pry
they never give as a chance to counter attach the most lethal weapon Mou had
