i still don't know how ibra will fit into what is required. his type is what we need, his style is what we already have.

I'm not sure I entirely agree with this, mk. Ibra will allow you to play back-to-front when you need to and will hold the ball up for you which means that players like Seedonk and Ronaldinho can bounce things off him and Pato will give you the threat in behind, no (whether down the right or, better, down the left or through the middle)?

sp, you do know that 'tec and others are going to argue that Ibra's a proven force - proven to choke when it matters. I'm not saying I entirely agree with him, but it's precisely because he knows what you're getting with Ibra that 'tec doesn't want him.

Yes, except that they're just saying better the risk of the unknown with Dzeko than the known quantity that is Ibra.

i know what they are saying, but i am actually glad we might be getting Ibra thats all i am saying as compared to Dzeko, the same Dzeko who has been a milanista all his life and then when linked with us signs a new 3 year contract?

You should admire the integrity of a player who wasn't prepared to fuck over the club which had provided him with the platform from which he might be able to win a move to the club he's always supported. Or he was using Milan's interest to get some more cash.

i think thats fair to say, i'm not saying Dzeko should mercenry himself and just leave but i just found it odd he signed on for another 3 years when before that he was sayin its a dream of his to play for Milan, surely there was a happy medium for all partys involved?

Perhaps he thought he was helping get to that happy medium - maybe his contract extension had a buy-out clause built into it (of, say 30 mil) in the expectation that Milan's response would have been to meet that clause and thereby keep everyone happy: money for his club, the player for Milan, and his dream move for him?

i just hate ibra. i suppose he will play as more of a target man than a secunda punta, but he does bring a different dimension to our attack.
