The money we will get for Baptista will go for Burdisso. Fine. We should also get money for Doni/Cicinho/Loria/Barusso (and IMO Cerci and Faty). We should target one solid signing although with Rosella at the helm, I'm not holding my breath. One more year......

So it's now actually official we are up for sale. A pity there still hasn't been one single firm offer made yet. We being sold gonna take a few months. Unicredit wants by the end of September a new owner. Just wishful thinking on their part.

So we are playing in the CL, Coppa and the league. So if we get Burdisso and sell Mexes, who gonna take the place of Juan or Burdisso if they are suspended or injured? Loria? Andreolli?

I imagine some of the following will have been said on the Shoutbox so I'll keep this brief...

For me the best move by far of the Al Sadd friendly was Totti's sublime control of the ball in their penalty area and his quick layoff to Ménez who cracked in our first goal. Is Monsieur Jeremy at last managing to correct that shortcoming in his play, the terrible finishing? Two goals in two successive games...now this is just what we've been wanting to see from him!

Big fatty(Adriano) has strained a muscle which is why he sat this one out...smaller fatty(Simplicio) was interviewed at half time. Damn, but he has a moon face when he smiles. We weren't told why he didn't get at least a few minutes play.

As a match it was uninspiring though in its way, informative. I'm disappointed in Greco who did not show the way he did in our opening friendly and in Guberti who sent what appeared at first glance to be at least three good looking crosses into Al Sadd's penalty area without apparently first checking out exactly where his team mates were. In other words they weren't good crosses despite looking the part, though in fairness the support he obviously took for granted was slower than it might have been in arriving. However, if I remember correctly he was never under any real pressure so couldn't he have held the ball and passed back if necessary?

There were reasons to be cheerful though, young Rosi is coming on nicely as is Faty, and again I must say I hope those dummies in our managerial offices are not tempted to send Okaka (another goal last night) out on loan again, or worse yet, sell him. I can't stress often enough, what better teacher could he have than Totti? Just what is he going to learn elsewhere that he can't with us? With the rotation system there should be opportunity enough to justify keeping and playing him!

Even if Adri gets some of the lard off in reasonable time he still won't have Okaka's pace, something we may well be grateful to him for having, because Ranieri will continue to give Adri the benefit of the doubt and it will be a shame if Okaka more often than not gets pulled on to try to bail us out of trouble, rather than to do what he does best in a more relaxed manner...


All that aside, I was sorry La7 showed the match though it was typically professional...I missed the very giallorossi biased Roma Uno commentary!

Lower-quality league? Thats pure nonsense, Tomasso, pure and utter nonsense. There is no way that Serie B is a lower-quality league than Serie A.

Carlo, apparently Simplicio, or Small Fatty, as you call him, was recovering from a problem with a or something, and so was unable to play in our recent friendlies. I think it was something to do with him not being able to see them.

So the Serie A fixtures are released today (later tonight, I think). Now we can finally look forward to planning our trips to Rome.
