James, I'm not sure Ranieri has your faith in either of that pair and he knows their capabilities well enough by now. For what it's worth, even in that 13-0 exhibition/training match, neither Guberti nor Cerci were specially impressive. They put in at best an adequate performance. It's possible both will leave us, particularly Guberti as la Samp appear to want him badly. That said, we know Sampdoria as a team is not on our level, irrespective of that late season shock they gave us and I wouldn't lose any sleep over both of those two players going elsewhere.

Greco and Okaka for me were the standouts, a worthy yardstick to judge by even in such a match. One notable exception...Vuci was simply head and shoulders above all else, scoring his tripletta with such ridiculous ease that I don't want to even think he could pick up an injury this coming season and just how much of a hammer blow it would be to us if he does.


loazzi, I agree that an on form Vuci-Totti-Adri would make many defences drop hot buttered bricks in their shorts...let's hope they get to that level and all this enthusiasm we've heard about regarding the tridente issue doesn't go to waste! Then I will believe! But it's going to take that to make me believe and for the team's and our sakes I hope it works because until or unless he is proven wrong, Ranieri seems hell bent on it...


Gio, fortunately we already have Greco and Okaka on our books. I hope those witless wonders in our upper office use them to our advantage and don't let them slip away. They can both be played this season with the rotation system. On Greco, if Roberto Pruzzo considers him to be an attacking midfield star in the making that must be worth something even to a mutt like Pradè...

Italians? It doesn't seem like it will happen but our Capitan' hopes the Arab Consortium we have read about buys us. Perhaps they would be more inclined to keep Roma Italian...

Okaka has world class potential IMO...I predict he'll be in the cards for Azzurri 2014...Adriano can slot his portly ass behind Stefano as far as I'm concerned.
