FUTURO ROMA, ANGELUCCI IN POLE PER LA PRESIDENZA?

Giampaolo Angelucci è il favorito per la presidenza della Roma. Nel panorama romano è il magnate sognato dai tifosi giallorossi. Il re delle cliniche e dell’editoria Angelucci investirà 120 milioni di euro per acquistare il pacchetto di maggioranza della Roma e ha pronti altri 80 milioni di euro da investire subito sul mercato. Considerando il valore tecnico della squadra giallorossa, disputerà la prossima Champions League, nessun acquisto sarà impossibile. Nel mirino ci sono Fernando Torres e Dirk Kuyt del Liverfekkin'wankscum, la società inglese versa in difficili situazioni economiche, e Ashley Cole del Chelsea, in rotta con la società di Carlo Ancelotti. I tifosi giallorossi hanno delle perplessità su alcuni problemi giudiziari da parte del possibile nuovo presidente ma quello che vogliono ancora di più è una grande Roma.

So he's investing, allegedly, 80 million in new players etc. That's quite a lot of money considering the man cannot leave his house to even attend a Roma match. All of these foreigners being thrown around out there so we can be a 100% foreign club in the Capital of Italy. Just wonderful.

Giovanni (or indeed Carlo or anyone else who can shed some light), can you tell us more about Giampaolo Angelucci? I am more familiar with Angelini. I know he has something to do with the health or medicine industry and was involved in some sort of scandal in which he was arrested (tax evasion or fraud?), but can you tell us more? Is he well liked, a good businessman or a dodgy, shady motherfucker?

Just been Googling him and some interesting results. So Gianpaolo Angelucci's father, Antonio, is one of Berlusconi's men? A politician in his PDL party?

As I said in an earlier post, Simplicio doesn't look just quite as bad as Adriano but the sight of those guts does not exactly gladden the heart when we think that in less than two months this pair will be expected at least in part to represent our hopes for next season. Sooner than that if we remember the Super Coppa and the pre-season friendlies.

If we do have to soldier on for a time with la Sensi still running the show until this ownership struggle is finally settled, then Football Italia ran a piece on how it's hoped there will be enough money from the sale of Mexes to buy Burdisso and as I was also saying earlier, Luisao from Benfica to give as they put it, some depth to our defence.

But it looks in their wording more like a "testing the waters" case than actual fact. I guess Pradè has to continue through this hoo-hah as if everything was just as usual, until or unless he learns otherwise, and in the meantime he has to put out feelers to see just what offers come in.
