ITALY/ JUVENTUS, Update on the search for new forwards

Juventus officials want to sign a new forwards in July.

The most rumoured options are Giampaolo Pazzini and Antonio Cassano (Sampdoria) as well as Alberto Gilardino (Fiorentina), while the alternatives are Edin Dzeko (Wolfsburg) and Luis Suarez (Ajax).

However, the newest probable targets are Marco Borriello (AC Milan) and Alessandro Matri (Cagliari).

Latest rumours are suggesting that Matri and Borriello could both join Juventus in July and become the team's new frontline duo (especially if AC Milan will sign Luis Fabiano from FC Seville).

ITALY/ JUVENTUS, Swap with Cagliari ?

Juventus could decide to pursue Cagliari's Italian forward Alessandro Matri and offer Amauri in return, although the two clubs are not in touch for now.


ITALY/ JUVENTUS, Bonucci coming soon

Juventus will announce the signing of Italian central defender Leonardo Bonucci (23) from Genoa on Monday.


ITALY/ JUVENTUS, Back for Mexes

Juventus have renewed their interest in AS Roma's French central defender Philippe Mexes (28). Apparently, the two clubs are in touch since yesterday and more contacts are expected on Monday. An official negotiation could begin afterwards.


ITALY/ JUVENTUS, Sculli is an option

Juventus could decide to turn their attention towards Genoa's Italian winger Giuseppe Sculli (29), who could be the ideal player for coach Luigi Del Neri's dynamic 4-4-2 system. Sculli is a former Juventus junior squad player.


RUSSIA/ CSKA, Update on Krasic

CSKA Moscow and Serbia winger Milos Krasic has returned from South Africa and has decided to postpone his summer vacations.

The 26-year-old has decided to stop by Moscow and convince CSKA officials to re-contact Juventus as he wants to join the Italian club. As recently reported, negotiations between the two clubs fell through since the Russians suddenly increased their asking price to around 16-17 million Euros after agreeing to sell for 15 millions (which was what Juventus were willing to pay).

Moreover (and according to latest rumours) Krasic is also planning to tell CSKA that he would remain only if no last-minute deal will be worked out with Juventus. It is Serie A or nothing for the Serbian since it seems that English and Spanish clubs are no longer interested in him.


TURKEY/ GALATASARAY, Quagliarella is an option

Galatasaray could soon decide to pursue Italy international and Napoli forward Fabio Quagliarella (27). However, there are no contacts between the two clubs at present.

Giovinco heading for Bari

Sebastian Giovinco’s time at Juventus seems to be over and the unsettled youngster is increasingly close to joining Bari.

Many saw the ‘Atomic Ant’ as the shining light of Juve’s future, but he has barely featured in the last two seasons.

Giovinco did not hide his anger at this snub and has demanded a move so that he can get some playing time under his belt.

The Under-21 international was wanted by Udinese and Parma, but the latest reports suggest Bari are in pole position.

It would be a good fit for both parties, as Bari finished mid-table with some very attacking play this season.

The Galletti are also said to be interested in Siena’s Algerian hitman Abdel Ghezzal, who played in the first round of the World Cup.

He would arrive in exchange for €1.5m cash plus midfielder Filippo Carobbio, who spent the last six months at Grosseto, and winger Pedro Kamatà.

Marquez latest Juve target

Rafael Marquez is the latest defender linked with a Juventus proposal, as the Barcelona man impressed for Mexico.

The Bianconeri are eager to revamp their back line after a dismal Serie A campaign saw them end up in seventh place.

It is reported in the Italian media that the 31-year-old is the latest target for Gigi Del Neri.

Marquez is a valuable figure as he has international experience and can play in midfield if needs be.

He only played 22 games this season, 13 of them in the starting XI, and is therefore on the market.

It’s claimed Marquez would like a meeting with Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola before making a decision.

Lugano is better, cheaper and more durable. Marquez is a better midfielder than central midfielder. I wouldn't hate the move, but we could definitely make a better choice.
