Another deal a couple of years too late. Haven't seen Amelia in action in a while; how was he in Russia, Ukraine wherever he went?

And I don't trust this management with selling our top players; what they did show with the Kaka sale is that they're not afraid to sell our best players and then claim we're good enough to win everything without any additions. I don't trust them to do shit for the team and I can only hope we keep our better players.

At least we have a new coach (and a real one at that)...

Amelia was never in Russia, Rob, think your confusing him with Pelizzoli, both ex-romanista's. Amelia is a World Cup winner, you know, and I always considered him a good keeper, even if he hasn't really stepped up to the plate in his career the last few years. I think he can be a good 'keeper for yis, and even overtake Abbiati as your number one. Whats the details of his move, though, is it just on loan from Genoa?

Who are the prima donnas on our team shinpin? The only one I can think off is Pato, maybe Gattuso. And Zlatan would probably be a perfect partner to Pato but we would never be able to afford him in any case.

Official: Milan appoint Allegri

After months of speculation Milan have finally appointed Serie A Coach of the Year Massimiliano Allegri.

The 42-year-old has signed a two-year contract and replaces Leonardo who left by mutual consent at the end of last season.

His appointment draws the curtains on an ugly dispute with former club Cagliari who played hardball in negotiations with Milan.

Cagliari President Massimo Cellino fired Allegri in April after he became ‘distracted’ by interest from Italy’s biggest clubs.

Like most dismissals in Serie A, Allegri actually remained on Cagliari’s payroll and extricating him from his contract proved difficult for Milan.

Allegri is already thought to have drawn up a strategy with Milan ahead of next season, rubberstamping their recent transfers.

Fabiano: 'It's Milan or nothing'

Brazil striker Luis Fabiano has apparently given Sevilla an ultimatum, telling them that he wants to go to Milan or he will run down his contract and leave for nothing. Fabiano has a year left on his existing deal at Sevilla and the Spanish club will be reluctant to let such a valuable asset walk out of the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan for free next summer.

Il Corriere dello Sport understands Fabiano's agent Jose Luis Fuentes has told the Andalusian outfit: “Either Fabiano goes to Milan and fast or he stays at Sevilla for another year…â€
