Pazzini is Juve's No 1 target

Juventus' new technical staff have apparently identified Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini as their No 1 transfer target this summer.

Yesterday was particularly eventful for the Bianconeri as Andrea Agnelli was sworn in as President, while the appointments of Gigi Del Neri, Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici were also made official.

Needless to say, the latter three all arrived from Sampdoria, and they are expected to raid their former club in the coming weeks as they address Juventus' needs ahead of next season.

Sampdoria are keen to hold on to their stars as they prepare for the Champions League preliminary stages. However, Juventus intend to severely test their resolve.

Pazzini is being valued at around €20m and Tuttosport understands that Juventus are preparing a bid that could include other players as collateral.

Samp's response will depend on who they bring in to replace Del Neri.

Chievo boss Domenico Di Carlo is the favourite for the post and could persuade Sergio Pellissier to follow him to Marassi and step into Pazzini's shoes.

Ieri si è presentata la nuova Juventus: Andrea Agnelli presidente, Beppe Marotta responsabile dell'area sportiva e Luigi Del Neri allenatore. Da oggi si pensa già al mercato, nel, come ha spiegato Marotta, sarà riservata un'attenzione speciale ai giocatori italiani: "Sono un fautore del made in Italy. I nostri giocatori danno maggiori garanzie".

Ecco gli obiettivi in salsa tricolore dunque: Bonucci, Criscito, Cassani, Aquilani, D'Agostino, Palombo, Pazzini e Giuseppe Rossi.

Per i primi due l'ipotesi è quella di cedere al Genoa un giovane bianconero (Ekdal, De Ceglie, Pasquato, Giovinco, Ariaudo), Palladino e magari qualche milione di euro. A centrocampo l'obiettivo numero sembra essere Aquilani, ma c'è anche D'Agostino e salgono le quotazioni di Palombo. In attacco, infine, Pazzini è il giocatore che al momento ha le maggiori possibilità di trasferirsi alla Juve per giocare al posto di Trezeguet come punta centrale. Ma i bianconeri puntano forte anche su Rossi: l'attaccante del Villarreal potrebbe sostituire Amauri, in partenza.

Del Neri sets sights on Martinez

Juventus boss Gigi Del Neri has identified Catania's outside forward Jorge Martinez as one of his principal transfer targets this summer.

Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Juventus yesterday made contact with Catania about the prospect of signing the Uruguay international.

Juventus intend to play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 next season and need to stock up on wide players if the move is to be a successful one.

They have been linked with the likes of Angel Di Maria, David Silva and Juan Manuel Vargas, but all three appear to be too expensive.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta believes Martinez is something of a bargain and has the ability to replace Mauro Camoranesi.

Marotta will speak with his counterparts in Catania over the next few days and could offer Michele Paolucci in exchange.
