Official: Mourinho freed to join Real

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has agreed to pay Inter €16m to free Jose Mourinho from his existing contract.

Mourinho agreed terms with the Spanish giants earlier this week, accepting a four-year deal worth €10m a season.

He has since been acting as Real Madrid's boss, outlining his transfer plans to Spanish newspaper AS during an interview yesterday.

However, Inter President Massimo Moratti decided to play hardball, insisting that he would only let Mourinho go if Real Madrid bought out his contract for €16m.

Perez reportedly flew to Milan this afternoon to resolve the situation and has come away with a deal that sees Madrid pay €10m upfront to 'free' Mourinho and another €6m in future transfer payments.

The Special One will be formally unveiled to the Press on Monday at 1pm.

A statement on Inter's website read: “Massimo Moratti and Florentino Perez met this afternoon.

“In light of the very good and constructive friendly relationship that exists between the two clubs, a deal has been agreed with relation to the contractual clause that links Jose Mourinho to Inter.

“The time and way in which the deal will be honoured have been defined. Massimo Moratti thanks Florentino Perez for his willingness to reach a deal in Milan and out of courtesy he confirm, once again, the very strong link that exists between the two clubs.â€

We have been named for the Biscione because in previous years, the Inter fans in Milan have always traditionally been the rich & wealthy, whereas the Milan fans where the workers. The Biscione being a symbol of one of the most noble families in Milan. Its similar to the Juve & Torino story were the rich families of Turin did support Torino & the workers (mainly the FIAT workers) started supporting Juve.

The Italian media insist Fabio Capello could go to Inter with just a £4m buy-out clause from his England contract.

President Massimo Moratti has named Capello as one of the primary candidates to replace Jose Mourinho at San Siro next season.

Don Fabio’s contract with the England FA runs until the summer of 2012, but Lord Triesman’s sudden resignation increases the uncertainty.

New FA general secretary tender Alex Horne is set to meet the Italian to discuss what happens after the World Cup.

Capello had been reportedly ready to scrap the buy-out clause in his contract and took out a verbal agreement with Lord Triesman, but with his departure there is nothing written down and Inter aim to take advantage.
