Inter focus on Capello

Inter have made England manager Fabio Capello their No 1 choice to replace Jose Mourinho this summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The pink paper insists that there are at least three reasons why the former Milan, Juventus and Roma tactician would say 'yes' to an offer from Inter.

When asked about Inter's interest following Monday's friendly against Wembley, Capello said: “My name is often associated with Italian teams. First it was Juventus, now they speak about Inter.

“It suits me fine, but I want to clarify that I'm focused on the World Cup.â€

Moratti: Mourinho 'not even close' to Real move

Jose Mourinho's coronation as Real Madrid manager does not appear to be imminent with Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti saying a deal is still some way off.

After winning the Champions League with a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich at the weekend, Mourinho spoke about the challenges ahead at Real Madrid and is widely expected to be named the new coach of the Spanish side.

But Manuel Pellegrini is technically still in a job at the Bernabeu and Moratti, who is already reconciled to finding a replacement, says talks are yet to get underway between the two clubs.

When asked if Mourinho's move had been agreed, Moratti told the club's official website: "No. Not even close, actually quite the opposite. We haven't even started (to discuss it). We will need a bit more time.

"I don't feel fooled [by Mourinho's desire to join Real]. The annoyance was overcome as Mourinho's concentration remained the same and he achieved all the aims that he had to achieve. But the annoying part comes now, with the damage of having to find someone new."

Mourinho hopes to become the first player or coach to win the league in England, Italy and Spain, and the first coach to win the European Cup with three separate clubs when he joins Madrid.

Sneijder commits to Inter

Inter's No 10 Wesley Sneijder has committed his future to the club amid reports linking him with a return to Real Madrid.

The Dutch international has enjoyed a wonderful first season at Inter, leading to speculation that Jose Mourinho might try and take him to Real Madrid.

However, Sneijder insists his future lies at San Siro and that he is looking forward to the challenge of retaining Inter's Champions League title.
