I think the the entire board must decide on a few things, most importantly, which line the club wants to now take. The next manager must fall into place with not only the direction of the club but also the shape of the squad. Like we said, this team is at its peak and are ready to win now as the ages of the players are in between the 28 - 32 mark. If Capello comes in, we should continue as planned with trying to win another CL by reinforcing the squad with better fringe players and a couple of starters. If Miha comes in, I think it would be in our best interest to rejig the squad to how he wants it while there's a good opportunity in this window of time. I don't see Cap being here for more than 3-4 years but if Miha is successful, then he could stay for quite a while.

A good reason to start turning the squad over is the state of Serie A; I don't think Milan and Juve have a realistic shot at the title next season while Roma will probably challenge us to the end once again. That means we can still most likely win the comp even with a few troubles of bleeding in the new players. I don't see any of the current XI forcing Moratti to sell them, not even Maicon, but it would be a really great time to get maximum cash for someone like him while letting Miha do what he needs to do.

A team like this would have the right balance imo;

GK: Cesar, Castellazi, Toldo

RB: Santon, Zanetti
LB: Kolarov, Chivu
CB: Samuel, Lucio, Rannochia, Cordoba/Matrix

CDM: Cambiasso, Veloso, Mariga
CM: Stankovic, Motta, Hamsik, Khrin
CAM: Sneijder, Coutinho

ST: Milito, Eto'o, Balotelli, Pandev, Destro (or other 5th striker)

In: Rannochia (12), Veloso (12), Hamsik (40), Kolarov (15), Coutinho, Castellazi = 79mil
Out: Maicon (40m), Muntari (8-10), Quaresma (8-10), Burdisso(5), Obinna, Rivas, Mancini, Arnautovic, Jimenez. Cordoba. 65mil (not including what we can get for the smaller players).

Very workable imo. Also, anyone using a 4-2-3-1 can use this team to perfection.
