You got a kid morra? Just flew in from Vegas by the way. Had to watch the CL debacle at the MGM scoreboard. It is amazing how even Italian people know shit about soccer. I had a debate with a group of "Inter" fans who stated Milito was transferred from Barcelona. Thank goodness for wikipedia, they shut up real quick. Anybody feel if Ribery was playing the outcome would've been different??? Bayern weren't bad going forward, they just missed that last piece of pace and magic that Ribery could've provided. Inter were solid defensively throughout this whole campaign. Just another trophy that is the product of calciopoli.

Juventus set for friendly in Toronto

New York wasn't Juventus's kind of town. Maybe Toronto will be.

The Turin-based club practised for a little over an hour Monday morning under the blazing sun in Toronto ahead of its exhibition match against fellow Serie A side Fiorentina Tuesday night at Rogers Centre.

After the light work out, Juventus players signed autographs and had their pictures taken with fans who watched the team work out at Lamport Stadium.

Juventus arrived in town from New York late Sunday night after suffering a 3-1 loss to the hometown New York Red Bulls earlier the day. After Monday's practice, the club was slated to visit Niagara Falls before returning to the city to attend a charity event.

"It's been perfect. We've gotten a great reception [in Toronto] since we arrived last night," Juventus captain Alessandro The Waterboy told reporters.

Added teammate Amauri: "It's a beautiful city. It's great to be here. I hope we do well [Tuesday] night and put on a good show for the fans."

Against the Red Bulls on Sunday afternoon, Juventus looked tired and distracted, conceding a trio of goals in the second half against the MLS club.

'Hard to stay focused'

The bianconeri finished up the Serie A season just over a week ago, and but for this mini tour of North America, the players would be on vacation now.

"After the season and coming to play here, it's not ideal," Amuari admitted. "It's hard to stay focused."

Team morale is also an issue after an un-Juventus like season.

Winners of a record 27 Italian league titles, the Turin giants stumbled to a seventh-place finish in Serie A, and failed to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions league — this despite the team spending big money last summer on new players, including Brazilians Diego and Felipe Melo.

The team went through two coaches during the 2009-10 campaign, gave up a whopping 56 goals and crashed out of the Champions League in the group stage.

"It was a lot of things, not just one thing. It was a disastrous season all together," The Waterboy said. "Hopefully we can rebuild in the off-season, get back to the top level and come back stronger next year."

Juventus's poor from has the earned them the wrath of their die-hard fans back in Turin, with many of them calling for wholesale changes to be made this summer before the start of the new Italian league season.

"I think they are right to be upset. There is no question that we played a terrible season and the fans gave very right to be upset with us," Amauri stated.

The Waterboy is one of the team's big stars who made the trip to North America. Several of his teammates, including goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and defender Giorgio Chiellini, are currently training with the Italian national team in preparation for next month's World Cup in South Africa.

The Waterboy was a member of the Azzurri side that lifted the World Cup in 2006 in Germany, but the veteran forward was not called up for duty by national team manager Marcello Lippi this time around.

"I'm so happy that four years ago I got to play in the World Cup and win it, and that was good enough for me," said the Juventus captain.

"I wish good luck to all my friends and teammates who play on the national team. I hope they'll repeat as champions."

Looks like Tiago and Melo are having solid WC. Don't understand how a midfield of Tiago and Melo can fail?? These guys are good players but just couldn't do it for Juve.

Melo was good until that point. It was definitely more of Cesar's fault, but it is pointless. Melo has lost confidence after this disastrous season and now after a disgraceful exit from the WC. I blame Dunga for Brazil's exit for losing composure. His sideline antics had a ripple effect through the team and the Brazilians tensed up and lost control. Good though.

I would sell melo for 18m as well. Too bad no one wants him anymore.
