Sunday went much as I thought it would and I had both ourselves and Inter down for the away wins. I watched because I wanted us to go out on a high which we did with those two glorious goals. The negative aspect of course is, had we won against Samp, Livorno, and Napoli as we were expected to do, the title was ours weeks ago. But we must also remember, if inconsistency cost us those opportunities because we have to compete with limited resources against the kind of money that makes us seem like poor boys from the ghetto by comparison, then seen from that perspective we did ourselves proud...and you can bet Juventus would have swapped places with us in an instant!

Lupa and Jeff, Mou actually stated last week it is inevitable he will coach Los Galacticos and if Inter get the treble on Saturday, I'm betting the gossip is right in saying he will then be gone because he has nothing left to achieve in Italy. Which as I've already said is just fine by me! I respect his successes certainly, but I have only contempt for him as a man. Lupa, I can't see Mexes being spared unless we can't do business with Inter over Burdisso and I don't see them interested in Brighi as a part exchange. I rather think Ranieri will urge PradÃƒÂ¨ to do all that's possible to secure Nico but it's looking like that could be tricky.

Gio, you can take the boy out of Roma but not Roma out of the boy! As you know only too well, the Roma roller coaster for the genuine fan is a compulsion, there's no other word for it. We wait and wait for the highs because when they happen they are worth the agony of the lows! We played our part yesterday and we couldn't have asked for more from Siena who were at full stretch to try to even contain Inter and they can be proud they only lost by a single goal. I liked the banner being held up at the end of our match by the Romanisti in the curva which read, "To be continued..."

Ed and Fahad, on players...Ed, Bayern seem determined to get some of their money back on Toni, I think you know they will never wear the free transfer our management are perhaps a little cheekily suggesting, especially with Man City waiting. Fahad, I'd say we need to add another winger or at least right sided midfielder to your shopping list since it would be madness to give Taddei the four year deal he is after.

Steve and Frenchy, I didn't want to do as you did and sit in front of my tv or pc...a day like yesterday was not one to be alone on so I went to my favourite watering hole to watch and it made a nice change to be sitting in the passenger section of a taxi rather than driving one! Steve, I didn't do as you did and sing in the cab home...I felt too much as Frenchy did in thinking there was no justice in the outcome of certain things!

Gio, Deini, Carlo... I know how you all feel. Right now its tough and its sad and its so god damn fecking frustrating at times to be a Roma fan. Look at how close we have come, look at how close we have always came, so near and yet so far. It is so frustrating. We just need a little, not a lot, just that little bit extra, a little bit of investment and little bit of proper management and structure, and we could be, well, campione. But now another season has come and gone, and the doubt sets in. Its the same old routine every summer. We all know it too well. Where will this team go from here? Who will be sold, how many steps backward will we take? I don't know. But we do as we must. We carry on, we do as Roma fans have always done, we believe in the colours, in the passion and the pride that comes with being a Roma fan. Just like this banner from yesterday says:

'Because it is a dream that nobody can stop.'

Gents, I think God decided He didn't want to put me through another emotionally draining 90 minutes - our internet access at home has gone down so I'm just snatching a couple of minutes in a cafe in town. It sounds as though the boys did us proud on the weekend again, but just came up short - again. Fuck Inter. Forza La Magica. We're winners even when we lose and they're losers even when they win.
