Giuseppe Marotta Signs On As Juventus Director General

And ‘Beppe’ has advised Juve against splashing out to land Benitez…

Giuseppe Marotta is to leave his post as chief executive of Sampdoria this summer to be appointed the new director general at Juventus.

Today’s edition of the Corriere dello Sport newspaper claims that the 53-year-old signed on the dotted line to tie himself to the Old Lady on Monday.

An official announcement from the Turin giants is likely to come after the Serie A season comes to an end on May 16 as Sampdoria are still in the thick of the battle for fourth spot.

The first order of business for Marotta will be to help the club hire their new boss.

Liverfekkin'wankscum manager Rafael Benitez is said to be Juve’s prime target, but Marotta has reportedly underlined the cons of investing around €30 million to bring in the Spaniard and appears keen on an Italian boss, namely Cesare Prandelli, Massimiliano Allegri, Roberto Mancini or Luciano Spalletti.

I do like Marotta. Seems we have signed Angel Di Maria from Benfia. The Selling of Giovinco should follow shortly. Looks like we are disinterested in Italian talent.

Cassano-Pazzini La Juve ci sta pensando

La Juve cambierà faccia. Per quello che si capisce adesso, i giocatori che resteranno a Vinovo si contano sulle dita di una mano: Chiellini, Felipe Melo, Marchisio, Diego, The Waterboy. Tutti gli altri sono in discussione anche se non tutti troveranno una squadra o un acquirente accettabile. Il progetto di Marotta e Benitez è quello costruire una Juve forte soprattutto nel gioco esterno. Ne consegue che è proprio nel reperimento di difensori e centrocampisti di fascia il lavoro più difficile da svolgere. Benitez è stato chiaro: tenterà di recuperare Diego magari facendone il nuovo Gerrard, ma per il momento non si è sbilanciato su Amauri, Giovinco e Caceres.

ATTACCO - L’unico certo di restare è The Waterboy. Trezeguet ha l’imbarazzo della scelta tra River Plate, Corinthians e Lione. Giovinco ha chiesto di far parte del progetto, ma sarà probabilmente inserito in qualche scambio doc. Amauri è sotto pressione perché, dopo essere stato un anno e mezzo sotto esame, è stato di fatto bocciato. Adesso bisognerà trovare un club disposto a prenderlo per rilanciarlo ma il brasiliano sembra aver fatto il suo tempo. Amauri è stato proposto al Liverfekkin'wankscum per Mascherano e al Palermo per Kjaer. Impossibile per la Juve arrivare a Fernando Torres e allora Marotta ripiegherà su Dzeko (inseguito anche da Bayern e Milan) o su Pazzini. Nell’ottica di una sostituzione negli anni di The Waterboy emergono due nomi; Cassano e Giuseppe Rossi. La Juve ci proverà subito. Tutto da stabilire il futuro di Iaquinta. (Corriere dello Sport)
