Mario Balotelli Has Not Been Kicked Out By Inter - Agent Mino Raiola
The player's agent has tried to put the sweeteners on following Balotelli's latest exclusion from the club...

Mino Raiola has said Mario Balotelli will speak with Inter to try and salvage his career at the club after he was sent home from the team's ritiro by president Massimo Moratti on Friday night.

The club announced that Balotelli and Moratti spoke in relation to a troublesome week that surrounded the striker in controversy after his shirt-throwing incident after the Barcelona clash in the Champions Legaue.

Some reports claimed Balotelli was kicked out by force, but Raiola has pointed out that wasn't the case.

He has taken a diplomatic approach, and believes differences will be resolved.

"I want to clarify that Mario was not kicked out of the camp, it was a decision taken in accordance with the club," Raiola told Sky Sport Italia.

"But for the respect of the club, Balotelli and I have decided that we will not talk any further until Thursday so as not to disturb the team.

"We will have a meeting with Inter next week, after the Barcelona game."

All the drama has generated a wave of speculative reports claiming Balotelli is now poised for a summer exit. Raiola has a different view.

"I never said that it was finished between Inter and Balotelli," he concluded.

Simone Tiribocchi gave Atalanta a shock lead at San Siro, but Inter fought back with a Cristian Chivu screamer to secure the 3-1 victory. They now go top of the table awaiting Roma's result against Sampdoria on Sunday evening.

A memorable Champions League semi-final win over Barcelona was marred by Mario Balotelli's latest tantrum. He was frozen out of the squad and sent home after throwing his shirt to the ground, so with Goran Pandev injured, options were limited. Jose Mourinho rested much of the squad, but not the three forwards. Atalanta fielded goalkeeper Ferdinando Coppola, as Andrea Consigli didn't recover in time.

Atalanta have been on strong form recently in their desperate bid to avoid relegation and took the lead after five minutes! A Tomas Manfredini slide-rule pass from the left allowed Simone Tiribocchi to spring the offside trap behind Marco Materazzi and smash the finish past Julio Cesar. It was the first Serie A home goal Inter had conceded since January 9 against Siena.

It was almost 2-0 just 120 seconds later, as Tiberio Guarente whipped in a free kick for Tiribocchi's free header out at the back post. Cristiano Doni's first touch let him down when trying to turn in the box.

Inter had their first chance - which barely qualified as such - after 22 minutes when Wesley Sneijder's free kick was charged down by the wall.

The Nerazzurri equalised with effectively their first genuine scoring opportunity. Bianco only scuffed a through ball and turned it into an assist for Milito, who drew out the goalkeeper to place a perfect lob into the empty net.

Dejan Stankovic was inevitably booked for a tactical foul, dragging back Simone Padoin outside the box, from which Doni curled the free kick over.

Samuel Eto'o pounced on a defensive error only to flash the angled drive wide. A corner was not cleared effectively and Ivan Cordoba's strike from nine yards was deflected off target by one of his teammates.

Stankovic blasted just over after a series of one-touch passes to spread the play from left to right.

Inter were pouring forward now and turned the game around completely. Down the right Eto'o ran on to a Sneijder through ball and his pull-back from the byline went past Sulley Muntari, but found Macdonald Mariga to come sliding in from eight yards.

Sneijder's audacious lob failed to catch out Coppola, as did Cordoba's header from a corner. Tiribocchi had a shot charged down and complained he was held back by Materazzi.

A long Sneijder cross from the left found Eto'o at the back post, but the volley with the inside of his right foot was over from six yards. Atalanta also threatened, as Doni's header was over from a promising position. Sneijder made way for Esteban Cambiasso after the break.

40 seconds after the restart the ball was headed to the D where Guarente's spectacular volley shaved a coat of paint off the crossbar.

Moments later a free kick was rolled across for Manfredini's absolute missile that Julio Cesar fingertipped out from under the bar in a crucial save.

Atalanta were furious, as both Doni and Ferreira Pinto fell to the ground when Jaime Valdes whipped in a cross, but the referee waved play on. Bortolo Mutti made two very attacking changes with Nicola Amoruso and Fabio Ceravolo replacing Ferreira Pinto and Valdes.

Eto'o curled a free kick over the bar after Manfredini's foul, a booking that will suspend him for Atalanta's relegation dogfight against Bologna.

Inter were now focusing on the counter-attack and had a great chance when Milito rolled across for Muntari, but Coppola did brilliantly to parry with his outstretched foot. At the other end Tiribocchi's acrobatic volley whistled wide.

Coppola got down to smother a Thiago Motta chest and volley from the edge of the box.

Inter did make it 3-1 with an extraordinary goal from Cristian Chivu. The player who risked his life after emergency brain surgery in January unleashed a missile from 25 metres that cannoned in off the inside of the near post, giving Coppola no chance.

Marko Arnautovic made a rare appearance as a substitute and whizzed a shot just wide from distance. Ceravolo also missed the target in the final minutes for Atalanta, while the visitors nearly made it 3-2 in stoppages with Radovanovic's header charged down from a corner.

As Inter look to move back to the top of the Serie A standings with their early evening clash against Atalanta, Mario Balotelli was once again the topic for discussion despite his absence from the encounter.

After being afforded some time off by club president Massimo Moratti, to reflect on his wrongdoings, the hitman enjoyed the afternoon sun in Brescia for the Serie B clash with Reggina, according to SkySport.

Nonetheless the Inter faithful didn’t hesitate to express their opposition to the young forward, and unravelled their response to his apology shortly before kick off with a banner that read, 'Non c'è tempo di pensare ad un bambino che non rispetta la maglia... Forza ragazzi, uniti verso un'altra battaglia’. (There is no time to think about a child who doesn’t respect the shirt…Come on boys, united ahead of another battle)

Following the letter of discontent from the Curva Nord faithful on Friday, it seems the relationship between ‘SuperMario’ and the fans is well and truly finished.

Il centro del mondo Inter, in queste ore, ha un solo nome: Wesley Sneijder. Il centrocampista olandese ieri è uscito acciaccato al 45esimo della sfida contro l'Atalanta, e il risentimento all'adduttore del retto femorale ha tenuto e tiene tutt'ora col fiato sospeso tutti i tifosi interisti in vista della partita dell'anno, quella di mercoledì a Barcellona. Oggi dovevano esserci gli esami, ma così non è stato: solo accertamenti, rinviati invece i veri e propri esami che dovrebbero arrivare nel pomeriggio. Alla Gazzetta dello Sport, però, Wesley Sneijder avrebbe rilasciato delle dichiarazioni da brivido: "Non credo di farcela", avrebbe ammesso il tenace folletto di Utrecht. Comunque, in casa Inter le certezze ancora non ci sono: il professor Franco Combi, uno che la situazione già la sta studiando con grandissima attenzione, ha scelto la linea della prudenza. Tutti invocano l'ennesimo recupero-miracoloso, ma lui dice "andiamoci piano".

Intanto, però, in questo clima spaventoso viene fuori una voce fuori dal coro, una voce importante: quella di Andrea Paventi di SKy Sport, giornalista che conosce alla perfezione tutti i giocatori e che vive con l'Inter, essendo l'inviato della tv satellitare a seguire la Beneamata in ogni dove. Le sue parole rilasciate in questi minuti fanno ben sperare: "Conosco Wesley, e sono certo di una cosa: lui a Barcellona giocherà. E' una partita troppo importante, uno come lui non se la vuole perdere". I tifosi nerazzurri incrociano le dita: il 10 olandese è imprescindibile. Intanto, vi terremo aggiornati su ogni novità.
