He'll probably be back in time won't he, dino? I imagine that's partly why he's having the operation today. On the news this morning they said he was back in six weeks from a similar operation earlier in the season and 6 weeks from tomorrow Spain have to name their final squad - I'd guess that barring further set-backs he's likely to be able to play a full part in the WC, no? And with enough time to get close to fully match fit too, I suspect.

Yeah, he'll certainly be in the squad and he'll be pretty much fully match fit/sharp, if not for the start of the World Cup, then in time for the knockout stages.

Anyway, I think Spain sometimes look better playing a lone striker and an extra midfielder, so I don't really expect this injury to hamper them much.

I think Torres will be back in time unfortunately. They will get knocked out in the Round of 16 vs Portugal...

Nah I was serious. I don't think Spain will make the quarters. They are a team that have a tendency to choke. I know we don't stand a chance, but I just don't want Brasil to win another wc. That includes Argentina (who I have my money on) and Germany. If anything, I want England to win the WC (After Italy and Australia

Of course), in all honesty, they stand a decent chance. Forza Don Fabio!

We live in hope Bagg, and thank goodness that's not the absolute final selection for more reasons than just Rossi!

I can't say I appreciate reading these rumours we are seeing of Prandelli to take over from Lippi after Sth Africa. I'd rather see Ancelotti and we all know he has said he wants to wait a while longer.
