Juve looking for a manager

Juventus are looking for an English-style manager capable of making all the decisions at the club, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Bianconeri's patron John Elkann is said to be very disappointed with the club's existing board of directors and might even get rid of some of them this summer.

Juventus President Jean-Claude Blanc is the first firing line after he missed Saturday's humiliating 3-0 defeat to Udinese because he was on holiday in France.

Roberto Bettega's future is also uncertain, as things haven't exactly changed since his return in the winter months.

La Gazzetta believes that such a drastic plan for reconstruction would naturally lead Juventus to hire someone with experience from the Premiershit.

They have been strongly linked with Liverfekkin'wankscum manager Rafa Benitez, but Arsene Wenger also looks set to be contacted.

Juventus apparently approached Wenger last summer, but he wanted €3.5m more a year than they were prepared to offer him.

Kuranyi snubs Juve

Juventus have apparently made Schalke striker Kevin Kuranyi an offer to move to Italy this summer, but it seems to have fallen short of his requirements.

The 28-year-old, who is currently joint top scorer in the Bundesliga, is out of contract at the end of this season and looks set to leave Gelsenkirchen.

German magazine Kicker understands Juventus have been in touch with Kuranyi's agent, making him a proposal that the player isn't inclined to take.

The former Germany international would like a four-year deal worth around €4m a year, something Juventus simply cannot afford at this moment in time.

Kuranyi has also been linked with Sunderland and Genoa, who were said to have arranged a pre-contract with him only last month.

No, RI, because Gerrard has been a truly world-class player for all the time Benitez has been there - it's just that he's been a world-class player who doesn't suit his manager's way of playing and Benitez has been forced to try out a succession of compromises to make him fit. It's entirely understandable and defensible, really: Gerrard is both Liverpuke's greatest asset and their greatest problem under Benitez. It's hardly surprising that this has proven such an intractable problem.

Juventus Look At Real Madrid Striker Karim Benzema & Bordeaux's Yoann Gourcuff

Juventus are monitoring Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and Bordeaux whiz Yoann Gourcuff, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are planning to rebuild early following a poor season, and they are keeping tabs on the French internationals.

Benzema has not had the best of season's at the Bernabeu, and having been linked with Milan previously, he is also on Juve's radar.

Gourcuff has been tipped to return to the peninsula following a stellar season with Bordeaux. But, landing him will take considerable effort and a significant offer.

He has a release clause of €25 million, and les Girondins are unlikely to unclench their fists.

Juve target Benzema and Gourcuff

Juventus are looking towards France to rebuild with bids for Yoann Gourcuff and Karim Benzema.

The Bianconeri will revolutionise the squad after the failure of this season and are already making plans for the future.

According to Tuttosport newspaper, David Trezeguet is one of several stars expected to leave in the summer.

The quotient of French players will remain healthy, though, as they are targeting Benzema as a replacement.

Benzema joined Real Madrid for £30m, but has struggled to make an impact and dropped behind Gonzalo Higuain in the pecking order.

The 22-year-old could even be available on a loan deal so that he can rediscover the form that made him a hero at Olympique Lyonnais.

Juventus are also targeting a more familiar face to Serie A shores, as Gourcuff has been a sensation for Bordeaux.

He flopped at Milan when played out of position, but is living up to his nickname of ‘Petit Zidane’ in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

Creative midfielder Gourcuff has a £22m buy-out clause on his contract and is also attracting interest from other top sides around Europe.

You're right, Benitez has definitely signed good players, justified his spending with results and cemented a winning atmosphere in Liverfekkin'wankscum. My bad.

I would take Torres, Maxi and Mascherano on Juventus. Benitez and the rest can go elsewhere.
