Argentina boss Diego Maradona believes Jose Mourinho is a 'more complete' tactician than Pep Guardiola.

The two will face off again as Inter and Barcelona meet in the Champions League semi-final although Guardiola already has one up on Mourinho.

Barcelona beat Inter at the Camp Nou in the group stages and also came away from San Siro with a draw. But that didn't stop Maradona siding with the Special One.

Speaking to Radio Metro, Maradona said: “In recent competitions, Guardiola has won everything and he has enormous merits.

“But Mourinho is the more complete trainer. He is the boss and for this reason I choose him.â€

Inter President Massimo Moratti Slams Juventus' Calciopoli Statement

Inter president Massimo Moratti has taken a swipe at Juventus after they released a statement regarding the Calciopoli trial in Naples.

"In full compliance with related activities and processes, Juventus will carefully, with its legal team, examine any new evidence that is introduced during the proceedings underway in Naples, in order to ensure, as always, the most careful protection of the club's history and fans," read the statement.

"Juventus is confident that the institutions and organisations of justice will ensure equal treatment for all, just as the club demanded in 2006."

New evidence at the trial has seen allegations of phone calls between Inter and referee designator Paolo Bergamo in 2006 come to light.

Reports suggest Inter could be stripped of the title they were handed after the 2006 sporting trial into the scandal.

But Moratti has not taken Juve's statement lightly and he has wasted no time in responding to it.

"I think this statement has come from external pressure from the fans. If all this came from Juventus and their directors then it would be a way of not accepting responsibility. We need to understand the damage that has been done because it's always easy to blame fans. I have not had a clear thought on all of this, but I can say that it is absurd," Moratti told La Repubblica.

Italian FA & Players Association Send Mixed Messages Over New Calciopoli

The head of the Italian FA says they will look into new revelations regarding Calciopoli, but others are not so sure...

The Italian football authorities are sending mixed messages out over a new Calciopoli investigation.

FIGC (Italian FA) president Giancarlo Abete has promised a review of the 2006 Calciopoli trial following new allegations in the current Calciopoli trial in Naples.

Reports suggest the 2006 trial which saw Juventus stripped of two Scudetti could be reopened. And Abete has confirmed that significant action could be taken.

"We will certainly speak about it, without a doubt, as it is part of my role as the president of the FIGC," Abete told the press as reported by Il Corriere Dello Sport.

The new revelations from Naples allege that Inter president Massimo Moratti had spoken to the then referee designator Paolo Bergamo.

However, president of the AIC (Italian Footballers Association), Sergio Campana, feels a new investigation into Calciopoli will not take off.

"Nothing has been opened. A new Calciopoli? Please..." he told the press.

It's mixed messages from everyone atm. From Inter, Juventus, Moggi, lawyers, Abete, the different papers, Moratti, Campana.

I'd gladly give up the 05/06 scudetto and 10 pts deduction for next season if all the clubs drop a new Calciopoli for the sake of the league.

There's clearly a massive difference of what Moggi was doing and what Moratti did, red. I've read the wiretaps for the Samp and Bologna games and I'm barely convinced they're even worth a mention let alone a new Calciopoli trial. Scroll up the page a bit and look at the convo's Moggi was having and compare them to Moratti; a very different kettle of fish. Bergamo always maintained he spoke to most/all club presidents so I'm not sure what all the hype is about tbh we already knew all of this.

Apart that Moggi also blackmailed players into joining his son's company and make him their agent. There is no kind of threatening or blackmailing in the above conversations.
