Inter are distracted, says Sacchi

Arrigo Sacchi has backed Roma to win the Scudetto partly because he believes the Champions League is distracting Inter.

Jose Mourinho's side lost 2-1 at the Olimpico on Saturday and have seen their lead at the top of Serie A reduced to a single point.

Writing in his column in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sacchi said that if it weren't for Europe, Inter would still be dominating domestic proceedings.

“The Nerazzurri lost in Rome because of the skill of the Romanisti and because they did not manage to repeat the game they played against Chelsea in terms of intensity and determination.

“It was the game of life for the Romanisti while it was only an important game for the Interisti. They lacked the furore they showed in London.

“Inter weren't lucky either, but Ranieri's players looked for success with more conviction. The mind of the Nerazzurri was already in tomorrow's game against CSKA.

“If there weren't this run of defeats before European matches it would have been difficult for the League to escape Mourinho's side.â€

Balotelli still won't apologise

There is no sign of peace at Inter as Mario Balotelli is still refusing to apologise to Jose Mourinho.

Balotelli has been dropped from Inter's last five match day squads after an argument with the Special One.

The 19-year-old striker's entourage claimed that he had a fever and shouldn't have played against Genoa on March 7.

Balotelli's brother Corrado suggested Inter had crossed the line, something Mourinho furiously rejected.

Last week, Balotelli didn't exactly help himself by insisting that Inter's victory over Chelsea was the players' doing and not Mourinho's.

He then tried on a Milan shirt with his name and number on the back.

Inter President Massimo Moratti has grown tired of the situation as he feels such squabbles are hurting the team at a critical juncture of the season.

He asked Inter's director of sport Marco Branca to go and talk with Balotelli face-to-face, but Il Corriere dello Sport understands that even he was unsuccessful in rectifying the situation.

It remains to be seen whether Balotelli will be included in Inter's squad to face CSKA Moscow at San Siro tomorrow night.

Descent win against CSKA considering how many chances we created. We should have scored at least 1-2 more.

Fuck that was so frustrating. I would've taken a 1 - 0 before the game but after wasting all those second half chances, it's tough to think what could have been. But still a good victory for the boys and I think 1 - 0 still could have it's advantages such as us going out to score another one instead of sitting deep on a 2 - 0 scoreline which could get us in real trouble over there. I suppose best of all is we'll get Lucio and Motta back, no other suspensions and for them, Krasic and Aldonin are suspended for the second leg so momentum is definitely with us here.
