TRIGORIA: VUCINIC LASCIA L´ALLENAMENTO PER PROBLEMI AL GINOCCHIO: NULLA DI GRAVE

Inizia l'allenamento al centro sportivo Fulvio Bernardini dove piove e la temperatura di 8 gradi sembra molto più bassa per via dell'umidità. Fuori dai cancelli di Trigoria c'è un'ambulanza con delle persone che provano ad assistere all'allenamento. In preparazione della trasferta di Livorno Ranieri può dirsi soddisfatto, sono tutti presenti tranne Francesco Totti. Dopo il riscaldamento il tecnico fa svolgere degli esercizi di tecnica individuale seguita dal solito lavoro tattico con i seguenti fratini. Rossi: Motta, Burdisso, Mexes, Tonetto, Brighi, Pizarro, Taddei, Menez, Stoian, Baptista. Verdi: Cassetti, Juan, Andreolli, Riise, De Rossi, Faty, Cerci, Perrotta, Vucinic, Toni.

Da notare che Ranieri sta provando la difesa a quattro con Tonetto a sinistra al posto di Riise, e Motta a destra con Burdisse e Mexes centrali, mentre nello schieramento opposto sta provando Cerci, Perrotta e Vucinic dietro a Toni. Il tecnico sembra quindi intenzionato a schierare il 4-2-3-1 per la trasferta di Livorno.

Intorno alle 11:20 Vucinic è costretto ad abbandonare l'allenamento per un problema al ginocchio. Dopo aver sentito dolore al momento di calciare, il montenegrino, si siede a bordocampo provando qualche movimento ma, dopo aver parlato col dottor Pengue decide di abbandonare il campo. Al termine dell'allenamento Taddei, Motta e Baptista provano dei tiri in porta. Al termine dell'allenamento Vucinic esce guidando la sua Lamborghini bianca senza però fermarsi con i tifosi presenti. All'interno del centro tecnico Mirko sembra muoversi senza evidenziare problemi al ginocchio. Arrivano conferme da Trigoria: per Mirko non si tratterebbe di nulla di grave.

Vucinic had to abandon training today after he suffered another problem with his dodgy gnocchio, but fortunately it wasn't as serious as first thought and he should be alright for Sunday. Everyone else trained (sensa Il Capitano) and Ranieri was working with the 4-2-3-1 formation, with Toni as the prima-punta and Vuc out left.

The Corriere dello Sport are running an interesting poll compilation of of all time which they will then make into a DVD (which will surely, in turn, be available for download). It goes back all the all the way to the '30's with goals we'd have never seen up to modern day, with too many classics to choose from really.

Well, what I don't get is Prade, really. Its hard to believe this man has such a high position of power within our club. Several things which he said bemuse me:

1) We had Milito in our grasp, then decided that Francesco Totti would be sufficient as a centre-forward
2) We even got to a physical clash with Cassano. Cristian Chivu, Philippe Mexes and Christian Panucci immediately sided with me.
3) Every decision at Roma is shared, as we do not buy a single player without getting the all-clear from the Coach
4) His meeting with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich did irritate us.
5) My only regret is that perhaps our relationship should’ve ended earlier.

1) How long have we been all saying how this squad needs a big, strong, goal-scoring prima-punta, and how we rejoiced when we finally got that when Toni join us. But we could of had Diego Milito in 2008? Oh no, we had Totti, we didn't need him. Yeah, right.

2) A "physical clash" with Cassano? As in a fight?! What sort of shit is that?!

3) Two words: Julio Baptista.

4) What meeting with Abramovich? That is news to me. I thought that never happened.

5) Ended earlier? Fuck off you stupid fuck, its your relationship with this club should be ended, preferably with a head been detached from your neck and shoved up your skinny little arse.

Gio, I'm sorry to read the piece from Romagiallorossa on Angelini. No doubt, if la Sensi is directly asked she will delight in saying of him as she has done with the others that she never believed any of them were serious about buying Roma.

As for Sunday, how often in Italia have we seen the situation arise where the top team drops points and instead of capitalising on that, those directly behind them blow the advantage by drawing or losing. Let's hope that's not the case this time! Presuming Milan beat Chievo and we beat Livorno, we know all the implications of there then being only be one point between Milan and Inter, with us four points behind Inter and three behind Milan.

Even taking into account the upsets they caused us not so long ago, we really ought to beat Livorno. However, as far as I'm concerned we can consider holding third place by the season's end which we must try to do as being a job well done, given our circumstances.

I'm laughing, remembering a quip some years ago by an old friend of mine that Serse Cosmi is a cartoonist's dream come true! He's such a character and some of the images I've seen of him over the years have been hilarious. This one appears to be from his time at Perugia.
