i did, and it's not pretty. you will lose iq by reading that stuff. goal.com has been taken over by the football-gaming population; people who have all their knowledge of the game from the likes of football manager and fifa games.

anyway, i think it's best to ignore all the rumours and not get emotional about anything the media come up with, as none of that means anything. even if we don't get anyone, we are far from screwed, although i wouldn't believe in any significant trophy. we could probably pull the toyota cup, but that's about it, unless we get really lucky in the cl. we certainly wouldn't have the squad for the scudetto, though. just take everything you hear now with a grain of salt. i would bet money on us not getting edson cavani.

well we're humans, the Bald Fuck is testing our patience to the very limit with foolishness, slowness, and sheer cheapness. The kids dominating at coal.com will always be expected to collectively work hard at adding another dimension to the word 'stupidity', but i shall not concern myself with them.

Im still perplexed at how Barca expect themselves to function as a team with over-stacking of talent there. Anyhow, that is not our business, our sole bussiness should be praying the B.F. manages to salvage something out of this miserable summer.

I'm not really pissed off at not getting a big name..the fact is that Milan has a golden oppurtunity to build something special right now...a couple of squad players and we'll actually be solid in all departments...imagine if we got Barusso, Suazo and Zambrotta...we'd be set for the 5 cups...
I love the fact that we're as dominant as we are in the CL...but it is the league which is a true measure of the strength of the squad...not to mention Inter breathing down our neck with their 15 scudetti..

well, i have a feeling ronaldo will come good this year, and he may help out in the cl, but to expect that we will repeat last season's success on the current squad is folly. if we don't reinforce the squad in attack and left back especially, in midfield maybe too, then i don't think anyone will expect us to win the scudetto, certainly not me.

Exactly, while we are stuck with the same squad as last year (Ok, bald man, plus Ronaldo), our main competitors have strenghthened themselves considerably...
I don't know, I'm usually the most optimistic of fans and have defended the management over the last few seasons...but this is incredible, especially after the debacle of the last transfer season (during which we at least bolstered our squad)...
Again, I'm probably over reacting...we did loan Oliviera out and I can't think of one logical reason we'd do that unless we had someone lined up...

Seedorf shows off Champions League trophy in Suriname

PARAMARIBO, Suriname, July 20 (Reuters) - Clarence Seedorf, the only player with four Champions League winners medals, showed off Europe's top soccer trophy in his native Suriname this week and declared that he was hungry for more silverware.

Midfielder Seedorf was cheered by thousands of supporters in the former Dutch colony on the eastern shoulder of South America on a trip that ends on Saturday, just days before he starts training again at AC Milan for the 2007-2008 season.

The Dutch international, who won the Champions League this year with Milan after previous victories with them in 2000, Real Madrid in 1998 and Ajax Amsterdam in 1995, said he is part of the world's best midfield and can win more trophies.

"I am very happy about the last four, five, six years of my career," he told reporters.

"In those five years, I believe that, especially with the midfield of (Gennaro) Gattuso, (Andrea) Pirlo, me and Kaka, we have shown (ourselves) to be the best in the world, because in five years we have won the most of all clubs in Europe.

"I am proud to have been part of that," he added.

Seedorf also said he looked forward to playing with a fit Ronaldo, who has suffered injuries and been criticised as overweight in the last few years.

Seedorf said the Brazilian striker had worked with a personal trainer in the close season.

"Ronaldo, of course, has had problems, so he needed some extra work to get in good condition," he said.

Seedorf, who was in the tiny country to promote his children's charity, joked that he threatened to quit Milan when they asked him to take a replica trophy across the Atlantic.

On a trip that included kissing contestants for Miss Suriname and visiting the president, Seedorf also shared his dream of how he hopes to end his international career.

He said he wanted to be in South Africa, winning the 2010 World Cup with the Netherlands in front of his hero, the African country's former president Nelson Mandela.

as much as I dislike him but a DM like him is needed for the depth of our thin midfield, obviously a younger one would be ideal, but I still think we're placing too much pressure on Gourcuff by expecting him to become a key player all of a sudden at the age of 21. Let him develop, give him a bit more than last year and I think he will get more time for sure

Milan's £84m Ronaldinho bid

There are reports in the Italian media that Milan President Silvio Berlusconi is ready to pay Ronaldinho’s £84m buy-out clause. The Rossoneri have made no secret of the fact he is their number one transfer target, but also confirmed publicly that Barcelona have no intention of selling him.

With this in mind, it seems that media mogul and former Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi is willing to break the bank to get his hands on the holder of two FIFA World Player of the Year awards. The buy-out clause on Ronaldinho’s contract is a staggering £84m, but having had a frugal transfer campaign so far and with the Champions League victory bringing in new funds, the sacrifice is not impossible.

The Brazilian arrived back in Spain for pre-season training today and spoke enthusiastically of Thierry Henry’s signing.
