Frence', I'm not being pessimistic - just realistic. These are the kinds of things that never get taken into account when people start chuntering about good or bad draws for a season's fixtures - the real quality of a draw depends on whom you have to play after you've had midweek games in Europe. Going to Napoli would be hard enough at the best of times; going there when they've had the week to prepare and you've had a Tuesday or Wednesday night CL game is going to be almost impossible; going there after a Thursday evening game, and then when the game's not even given as a posticipo - that's surely an impossible ask? I just can't see the boys being able to run with Napoli for the 90 minutes and so we're going to need a huge amount of luck or else some quite startling brilliance to get anything out of the match.

I think the Avvocato's sulking, Frence'. We need a couple of goals from Luca to bring him back to life. Nedzo', I gather, is away somewhere for the weekend - hence his missing his nephew's birthday. And everyone else is a useless knut, especially 'moldy who's a useless, lefty pinko cnut. Besides, we've had more important things - like the rugby - to focus on this week. Your boys were so lucky on Friday. Remind me, why is it again that they only ever try when they're playing our boys?

I haven't watched nor read anything about the game, was too busy working. Just heard that they were leading comfortably and then the welsh came back into the game....until we get scared and so asked nicely the referee to end it.

So, I see Julio is part of the group? If he is, I guess he'll be the one playing. I hope that this is a good choice from Ranieri and the staff. Aggravating that injury now would be very bad, we still have a few games to come and I'd rather see Doni once again between the sticks to finish the season with Julio.

The latest news on JS is that he didn't pull up well enough in the tests this morning and so isn't likely to play. No, nedzo never banned the Avvocato. He's flitting about, waiting for the right moment to strike. I'm going to miss the game today, I think. We've got people around for lunch. I'd just assumed we'd be playing the posticipo - not an unreasonable assumption, I think - only to discover too late that those fekking ladri have stolen that spot. Had I known, I'd have got these guys around for dinner instead. Fucking Rubentus,

You were pretty awful in the rugby, Frence' - you defended excellently in the first half and dominated up front, but created nothing. You were 20 points up because the Welsh gifted you two ridiculously soft intercept tries. And then in the second half they started to put a few things together and you guys showed almost nothing in attack. It was a pretty insipid performance from the French - but, a bit like the Boks against us earlier in the season, you won without playing too much rugby. Certainly it was a big step back from the performance against the Irish.

Ok Maro, thanks for the info on our "performance". It looks a bit like Roma recently...not showing much but winning. Isn't it a quality of good teams?:)
At least we are the only ones who could still win "le grand chelem". This is if we manage to win the English in the next game. For sure it ll be a tough one. I wish I could have watched the Irish beat them yesterday.

So you tell me Julio on the bench? I guess it's safer. I must say I d be happy with a draw tonight although I believe we have what it takes to get 3 points. If this Jackass Menez manages to play better than average for once and our defense is at its best, then we could spend a good time watching this derby del sud.

3-5-2? interesting, , i actually like the new formation, i always liked the 3-5-2 formation and it usually works, it provides more depth & width in defending and also in attacking, i think it will work or at least i hope it will, with Pizarro, Totti & Toni back, this formation will be perfect for us.


But i also would have prefered Menez over Baptista, he hasn't been good lately and Menez have been showing signs of maturity and improvement lately.

First of all, I do not sulk. Also, I do not chunter. I will not post with even minimal frequency unless some changes are made around here. By changes I mean some delegation of power to avoid the heavy handedness of Edzo. We supposedly came to this place to avoid the bull shit we endured at other places. Particularly, the dictatorial behavior of the 'man' at XFF. Now, and I'm sorry Edzo, but many of those same dictatorial responses have surfaced in your behavior over really nothing. One guy who runs the whole show gets some kind of a bug up his ass about something and the community as a whole has no power to do anything other than do what I'm doing, protesting. Therefore, some check against the a single minded dictator must be employed. I know Tommaso is an administrator, but it appears he has no power to abate the whimsical actions of the real administrator. I suggested Ennio be given some kind of adminstrative control on this side of the Atlantic but I suppose that fell on deaf ears. Either that, or give Tommaso the same control as Ed.

Until there is some sharing of power as a check against the kind of actions we have seen for a few months now, then there is no reason for me to be here.

maro[ Delete ] Oh, and maybe one or two more Romanisti will start to appreciate that Pizza makes DDR look a better player rather than a weaker one. He's not quite good enough in that regista role; used properly, he and Pizza complement each other very, very well.
maro[ Delete ] Well, he's not really my kind of player - his movement's poor and for a player with some technical qualities, his first-touch is shocking and his passing isn't great. Still, I think used properly he can be useful to our squad - behind/alongside Vooch or Luca he will score a few more goals if he's given a few more opportunities.

More of a miracle actually. We were awful for most stretches of the game, and were very lucky that we didn't concede earlier than we did. Pizarro's absence really hurts this team, and we saw that again today.
