Tuna - what do you want to eat? Any dietary restrictions? My knowledge of Baltimore's dining scene is pretty off, but I can ask around, especially with regards to the town's famous seafood (sadly crabs are out of season).

The Fells Point Area as well as Federal Hill have lots of nice restaurants and bars (I know you don't drink), the former being quite interesting just to walk around, as well as pop in and out of shops, restos etc... Both are pretty close to the harbor, which I would argue now is too full of national chains and the ilk (cheesecake factory, california pizza kitchen, espn zone etc). Was nice from like 1997 (when everything opened and the world was much smaller) until 2001 or so.

Baltimore's very working class (unless you go to school where I did, in which case its not), so people will be very nice and down to earth in "Ball'mer"

I was thinking seafood, though if you've got any thing else I don't mind. As for dietary restrictions, I don't eat pork so other than that I'm good to go. The friends that I'm going with drink so I definitely think we'll be stopping by a bar after the meal. So let me know what you got.

Nah - actually, I acutally prefer this kind of discussion in a post, so I can gather my thoughts more. But this isn't a typical conversation, which was my (often ignored) point yesterday. As for Fells Point and Fed Hill Bars, just walk around the area and do a crawl and see what you like.

There is Obrycki's but that is not open until mid-March. It is very well known but probably overhyped. I have been to Kali's Mezze (Mediterranean Food) which was very nice, but that's not seafood... There is also Mo's Seafood, as well as the Oceannaire and Bo Brooks. I have heard great thinsg about the latter and pretty good things about the first.

I wish I could be of more help, but I have not lived in Baltimore in ages and was always in the 'burbs.

I won't hear the end of this from the many acquaintances I have from my years in the London outskirts. Fulham progress in the EL and we don't! That so o o o annoys me, particularly with Okaka being there. He'd learn much more from working with Totti and Pizarro as I've said before, and if he could regularly come off the bench and score for us (e.g. his last goal!!!) we'd have been better off keeping him than loaning him out.

Now I have to hope Juventus give bloody Fulham a smacking in the next round to save some Italian pride...

The lads must have let that penalty kick goal really get to them to lose two more so quickly afterward. Ranieri was furious in his interview, called it five minutes of sheer folly! If anyone was watching on "live" tv rather than a net link, you'll have seen as I did, De Rossi have to literally escort Riise off the pitch at the end. Three times Ginger looked like he was going to have a punch at one of the assistant referees and our deputy captain saved him.

Tommaso, in my heart of hearts I guess I knew we wouldn't win the EL but it would've been nice to see us get a little further! Sure, the Europa League isn't the CL but if we want to be really critical then it doesn't compare to the old European or Champions Cup where that's just what you had to be to take part...but for now we have to make dropping out count in our favour, one less distraction from maintaining a top four place!

Gio, it's not just we fans who know what our presidente is capable of. For once, Football Italia got a journalist who knows how to read between the lines which will be why he worded his article on what she might do with the money as he did. Ennio is right. If the hotels really are gone she needs new digs! Interesting point...surely she can't be seen to be spending a lot of money even if it's from her own private fortune. Her creditors and the tax man would have a word or two to say! I imagine she may see the business that is AS Roma as playing her own personal Father Christmas, but what she can take from that must surely be limited?

Andrew, we have been criticised by some for not having sold off more of our players! If we do that now though, we sink. By keeping our better stars we should maintain a top four league place for another couple of years. Beyond that, without proper investment in our squad, you don't need me to tell you we will indeed slip. I've read we are close to renewing Taddei's contract. If we were solvent, we would replace an ageing player. What I will say is, at least he will play for us with the pride you spoke of, as will many of our existing squad. As for over emphasising the monetary value of European tournaments, we have no other choice, short of assassinating our spoiled little rich girl gaffer to solve our problems! I'm convinced she really believed Ranieri could "work the oracle" with a weakened team and actually win the EL...


Let's hope the lads aren't too depressed/tired for our visit to the "Portogese" in the San Paolo!

But...Jamil, Aba and Fahad have made me hungry with the food talk. Simple it may be, but some nice smoked ham with thinly sliced tomatoes on crisp rolls will do the trick...for now!

...the formazioni probabili we get from different sources are by no means always what we see at kick-off. On this occasion though there isn't much room for change. The only difference between Rai/Mediaset/Football Italia for example is whether we see Mexes again or Burdisso. We know Julio Sergio is desperately trying to make the Napoli game but it may well be we have to suffer Dum-Dum again in goal with the "ghost" (Lobont) in reserve. Toni won't be playing up front despite hopes. So, we are left with...

Looking at our panchina it's hard to see who could come off it to turn the game round if required. For me, neither Cerci nor Menez fit the bill and I'm tired of hearing that as young players they will improve...but as we have no other damn choice then we'd better get the prayer mats out! I hate to be so negative but Ranieri might consider deploying the lads as best he can to get a 0-0.
