Napoli: in tanti insultano l'Inter, ma Zanetti...

In esclusiva, FcInterNews vi ha aggiornato per questa due giorni napoletana dell'Inter in vista della partita di stasera contro gli azzurri. Pochi minuti fa, i giocatori hanno lasciato l'hotel del centro cittadino in un clima quasi vergognoso: numerosissimi pseudo-tifosi del Napoli hanno insultato in ogni modo i giocatori nerazzurri, con espressioni becere che hanno surriscaldato il clima facendo intervenire anche la polizia. I tifosi interisti presenti, sulla trentina, senza timore hanno sostenuto la squadra appena salita sul pullman: grandi applausi per Milito, Cordoba, Zanetti e Balotelli, primo bersaglio dei tifosi avversari. Insultatissimo anche Mourinho, mentre proprio capitan Zanetti si è reso protagonista di un bell'episodio: vedendo i propri tifosi in difficoltà nella minoranza, li ha voluti salutare con grande calore dal pullman, quasi uno ad uno, e quattro ragazzi hanno dato lui dal finestrino una maglietta con sù scritto "C'è solo un capitano: Javier Zanetti uno di noi". Javier la ha presa personalmente e l'ha baciata, ha detto ai ragazzi nerazzurri di tenere duro ed ha promesso che in caso di gol avrebbe mostrato proprio quella maglia. I tanti tifosi incrociano le dita...

Balo is not even on the bench. Injured I suppose. Even Quaresma is on the bench so I can't think of any other reason for him not on the bench.

haha dejan. Of course, must support local football too. I have to confess, I will stop supporting Sydney FC after next season. A local team from where I live will enter the league.

Mourinho: "This is football, not Hollywood"

NAPLES - José Mourinho is unconvinced that 0-0 is a fair result in Naples after seeing his team denied a clear penalty by match referee Roberto Rosetti. He said: "I don't know if this is the right result. It's how the game ended but I don't know if it's right.

"Napoli did better than us in the first half, we were better than our opponents in the second. It was an intense match, a difficult game for both teams, and a result that has to be accepted as normal. I paid my compliments to Rosetti after the game because I liked his attitude, his philosophy, but I am sat on the bench and sometimes I am very far away from the zone where the move takes place. They told me there was a clear penalty for a hand ball by Aronica from Maicon's shot, a foul similar to the one in Bari where the same referee from Turin had awarded a penalty. Matches like this one tonight are decided by small details."

So why did the referee not blow his whistle in Naples? "Rosetti's attitude was very good throughout the game, if we put aside this small, big episode. The attitude is the most important thing for me. But it's Inter who pay. Rosetti made two mistakes with us in Bari and he made another today. It's us who pay for the problems of the others."



A week of tension building up to Sunday night's San Paolo clash ended with more disputes, and after the final whistle Mourinho responded to the declarations made in recent days by Napoli president and film director Aurelio De Laurentiis: "That little man who was here talking to you before me always talks a lot and treats football as if it were Hollywood," he said. "I don't think Napoli deserved to lose the match but there was a penalty in Inter's favour. For their play, attitude and aggressiveness, the Napoli players did not deserve to lose and the draw can be accepted, but to do this we must forget this very clear penalty. And I must forget, otherwise I will be forced to pay another fine this week...

"Fortunately we are in a different fight from the one by Napoli in this last week. We are 'in the fight with Roma and Milan'. But perhaps we paid the penalty today because of that little man who is always talking on TV. He said that he would never take me as coach of his team, but only as an actor in one of his films? He has no hope, I have too much class for his level."

Mourinho praised the home fans before analysing his team's performance at the San Paolo: "The crowd gives its support and it can be very heated; I like it when a team has many fans like Napoli has. Napoli had some scoring chances, Quagliarella's post and Denis' chance. We hit the woodwork with Muntari and we had another good chance with a ball that Pandev doesn't usually miss, and there was that penalty we weren't given. It was a difficult match but the difficulty was facing a fast and aggressive team that always does well here at the San Paolo. I prefer not to say that we won because our opponent was the referee and because the referee didn't see a penalty."

Sunday night's stalemate sees Inter earn their 53rd point of the season and move seven clear of second-placed Roma, but for Mourinho it's still too soon for title talk. "We won't be sure until the mathematics leaves us no remaining doubts," he said. "There are still too many matches. I like this advantage. If someone had told me this last August, I would have accepted it straight away."



Napoli-Inter coincided with St. Valentine's Day and Mourinho was asked for his dedication. "Let's be serious: this is football, not Hollywood," he replied.

The Champions League returns this week and Inter's city rivals AC Milan host Manchester United in the first leg of their last sixteen tie. "Both Milan and Manchester have the same chance of winning, I'd say it's fifty-fifty," said Mourinho. "The same for Inter and Chelsea? Yes, but Inter are stronger than Milan."

Napoli 0-0 Inter

Napoli rattled the frame of the goal twice, Inter once, in an entertaining game that somehow ended 0-0.

The Nerazzurri needed a victory to avoid Roma closing the gap, but had lost their last two visits to the San Paolo and were held 1-1 by Parma in Wednesday's rescheduled game. Cristian Chivu, Marco Materazzi and Dejan Stankovic were sidelined, while Cristian Maggio sat out a ban for the home team.

Last week Napoli lost their first Serie A match under Walter Mazzarri, but some controversial refereeing decisions prompted fans to protest tonight by wearing masks of designator Pierluigi Collina. Ezequiel Lavezzi was back from his thigh strain, but medics advised Mazzarri not to risk him yet.

In the opening 90 seconds Fabio Quagliarella's turn was charged down on the edge of the box, then he set up Walter Gargano for another promising opportunity.

Napoli were very unlucky not to take the lead on 10 minutes. A free kick was not cleared effectively, so Marek Hamsik's stop and strike cracked the crossbar!

A long cross was knocked on for Quagliarella at the back post, but his rising strike only hit the side-netting. Douglas Maicon had penalty appeals for a handling offence, but the two players were very close together.

Julio Cesar performed a stunning reaction save on German Denis' diving header from six yards, as Hamsik whipped in the cross from the right.

Michele Pazienza intercepted Milito's pull-back for Pandev in the area. On the half-hour mark a corner wasn't cleared properly and Sulley Muntari unleashed a screamer from the outside edge that smashed across the face of goal and on to the bar!

Walter Samuel crucially got in front of Denis to stop him tapping in from eight yards, while Quagliarella blasted wide on the volley.

Just before the break Denis ran on to a ball over the top and pulled it back for Hamsik, but Davide Santon used his body to deflect the shot out for a corner.

Suntari risked a second yellow card before the break, so he was replaced by McDonald Mariga. Sneijder spun round on the outside edge of the area to test De Sanctis low at the near post.

Milito had penalty appeals for the slightest of touches from Grava and moments later Sneijder went into the book for a dangerous tackle.

Inter had a great chance on the hour mark when Pandev took advantage of a defeder's slip in the area, but De Sanctis held his ground and parried the shot from close range.

Moments later Milito held off his marker to test De Sanctis at the near post, forcing the goalkeeper to parry with his foot. From the corner Samuel nodded over.

However, Napoli had an incredible double opportunity in the same move. Quagliarella's fierce strike from just inside the area smashed against the base of the upright and Denis fired the follow-up over from six yards.

Two minutes later there was another extraordinary chance. Quagliarella rode several tackles and his deflected shot turned into an assist for Denis, but a combination of Julio Cesar and Samuel managed to crowd him out and clear from an empty net.

Samuel Eto'o replaced Pandev, but Napoli kept pushing and Hamsik volleyed wide from a Denis knockdown in the D.

Hhmmm, probably the best game we have played this season was against Milan in the 4-0 win when Stankovic played as the regista and Motta was in left midfield.

But what I was wondering is that can't we get better at it by training for it specifically. You would definitely need technically sound players but we can surely get better at it with training. I mean take Arsenal for example. They only have Fabregas who is exceptional but neither Song nor Diaby are that good technically(both may be better equipped technically than Zanetti and Muntari but that's not the point) but I know for sure that Wenger particularly focuses on the triangular passing and starting the game from the back.
