Not looking good for Nesta

The latest reports from the Milanello training ground suggest Alessandro Nesta won’t be able to start the derby. You can watch Inter-Milan LIVE on ESPN for FREE from 19.45 UK time, when the two top teams go head-to-head.

Nesta has been struggling with a left thigh problem that he sustained in last week’s 4-0 win over Siena.

Leonardo declared he would leave the decision until the last minute, but it’s reported that this morning’s run-out was not as pain-free as he would’ve hoped.

It looks increasingly likely that Nesta will not be in the line-up at San Siro this evening, so Giuseppe Favalli or Kakha Kaladze are set to take over.

With four or five quality reinforcements Milan could be a force to be reckoned with for sure. But then so would Palermo and Fiorentina. It would be interesting to know how many times in a season a coach can put out what he thinks of as his best 11. I suspect it'd be terribly rarely - which means your first 11 is at best really only as good as your first 14. The problem with Seedonk, I think, mk, is that when he comes back in Leonardo's going to have the same problems of balance. He would provide spark, for sure, but with Seedonk in for Rino, you're desperately lop-sided and against disciplined, well-organised, hard-working sides I imagine you will continue to drop points.
