I can't add much, Jam...I'm on my coffee break in my taxi office so only time for a brief pre-derby post...

I don't know about Tommaso's penguin and the cat's girlfriend but I do know what he means by omens. Lazio haven't had a win in eleven matches now and we don't want to be their first victim of the breaking of that run.

In any case we all know form means nothing in a derby so going in depth in discussion over this match seems pointless. Particularly as the difference for now between the two sides seems only to be we are slowly dragging ourselves out of the puddle of brown and our feathered friends are still in it!

I posted this image once before for luck and it worked. As we see, it's our "Lupetto" ripping the scudetto tricolore off the shirt of L'Aquila! There is a legend to this but I haven't the notes on it anymore and our wolf's act obviously refers to Lazio's last scudetto!





Marco, nice piece on giving those stats but it certainly raised my eyebrows when I saw Il principe Giannini only played 15 derbies in the 16 or so years he was with us...

Clima caldissimo allo Stadio Olimpico dove ci sono già moltissimi tifosi. Intorno alle 19.00 è entrata in campo la Lazio per visionare le condizioni del terreno di gioco, bersagliata dai fischi dei tantissimi supporter giallorossi. Ballardini sceglie di giocare con Diakitè al posto di Siviglia. Si va verso l’esclusione di Rocchi. Nella Roma un Totti caricatissimo guiderà la squadra di Ranieri. Vucinic e Menez a supporto. Ancora da sciogliere il dubbio Motta-Burdisso.
