NAPOLI - La Procura chiuderà il 3 aprile la requisitoria al giudizio abbreviato sullo scandalo di Calciopoli. Nell'udienza che si è svolta oggi nell'aula 114 del Palazzo di Giustizia di Napoli i pm Giuseppe Narducci e Filippo Beatrice hanno ripreso la discussione davanti al giudice Edoardo De Gregorio affrontando, fra le altre, le posizioni di Gianluca Rocchi e Paolo Dondarini, arbitri ancora in attività e imputati entrambi di frode in competizione sportiva, con riferimento rispettivamente a una e due partite del torneo 2004-2005. Per Rocchi l'incontro è Chievo-Lazio terminata 0-1. Dondarini, che è sotto accusa con riferimento a Juve-Lazio 2-1 Chievo-Fiorentina 1-2, era presente in aula e ha ascoltato senza commentare le parole del rappresentante della Procura, anche quando il pm Beatrice ha parlato di "istigazione a favorire la Juventus" ricevuta dall'arbitro alla vigilia dell'incontro fra i bianconeri e la Lazio.

INCHIESTA PER UNDICI - In tutto, sono undici i protagonisti dell'inchiesta che hanno chiesto il rito abbreviato: oltre a Rocchi e Dondarini, anche l'ex amministratore delegato della Juventus, Antonio Giraudo, Tullio Lanese, Stefano Cassarà, Marco Gabriele, Domenico Messina, Tiziano Pieri, Duccio Baglioni, Giuseppe Foschetti e Alessandro Griselli. Il pm Beatrice ha posto più volte sul sorteggio degli arbitri nella stagione sotto indagine, quella 2004-2005, ritenuto pilotato dai designatori Pierluigi Pairetto e Paolo Bergamo su input di Luciano Moggi (tutti e tre vengono processati con il giudizio ordinario) e sulle strategie poste in essere da Moggi allo scopo di assicurare "copertura mediatica" ai direttori di gara a lui vicini attraverso, ad esempio, interventi sulla trasmissione "Il processo" condotta da Aldo Biscardi.

LE RICHIESTE IL 3 APRILE - Il 3 aprile i pm Narducci e Beatrice concluderanno con le richieste di condanna o di assoluzione nei confronti degli undici imputati del rito abbreviato. Poi la parola passerà alle parti civili e alla difesa prima della sentenza, prevista probabilmente in autunno.
Il giudizio ordinario, che conta 24 imputati fra i quali Luciano Moggi, riprenderà invece il 24 marzo prossimo.

Same question I asked at juventuz: Is there any indication whether Juve could seek financial compensation, or will it be limited to being able to request the return of the Scudetti?

Also, is it likely that there would be some kind of agreement by which Juve would get the titles back relatively easily, provided they don't go after the authorities for financial compensation?

Former Juve director sentenced to jail

Former Juventus director Antonio Giraudo has been sentenced to three years in prison for his role in Italy's 2006 soccer match-fixing scandal.

Giraudo, already banned from football by a 2006 sports tribunal, has been found guilty of sporting fraud and conspiracy in the criminal trial linked to the affair.

Juventus were demoted to the second division in 2006 as a result of the scandal, which involved clubs procuring favourable referees for matches, but are now back as one of the strongest teams in the top flight Serie A.

Giraudo, who is unlikely to serve his sentence because of the appeals process and a broad pardon for non-violent offences committed before 2006, asked to have a fast-track trial along with a number of referees implicated in the scandal.

Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi requested a normal trial which is currently taking place.

Prosecutors in Naples, who had asked for Giraudo to be given a five-year jail term, instigated a criminal case in the wake of the punishments handed down by the sports tribunal.

We have not heard from Beppe Solinas in a while. Maybe he is still trying to translate Mi raccomando into a form a saying goodbye, or 'I'll be seeing you'.....That piece of human debris Antonio Giraudo certainly will not serve any jail time. Nevertheless, his conviction and sentence is just a further illustration of the nature of that criminal entrprise known as the Juventus Football Club.
