We should have won, but not a terrible result, an away draw to Fiorentina. I was hoping for 4 points out of these last two matches but we got 2. The Juve game was a freak one, and I'm sure we'll bounce back. After all, this hellish start to the season was always going to be a test and we knew we weren't going to win everything, so let's relax and see how it goes...

Also Maro, spot on. Sorry Shield, I have to agree with the former sheepshagging prof that Doni was way out of position and should have easily caught/punched Iaquinta's effort. 3 points in the bag.

I have no complaints about the penalty. It was a terrible challenge by Ferrari. Judging by the angle and Vieri's ball control he would have had a tough time doing anything with that chance.

Italiamia, I have to agree about the open space Roma were giving at the end of the game. Considering the subs that were made we should have shut the game down. Not a terrible result but it makes the two points we lost against Juve all the more valuable. If we make it through week 10 within 4 points or less we will be in great shape.

I won't agree on the penalty, I'm sorry. You can watch it over at Forza-roma.com. Ferrari got the ball, there was no foul on the play. But Ferrari looked bad on the play. I suppose if you make a stupid challenge and you look bad doing it, your opponent is given the penalty and you get the yellow. To hell with the rules. It's all about aesthetics.

By the way, I see the trash talking has already begun by none other than Massimo Moratti. "Ibra is better than Totti", he said today.

It seems we were not too happy with the referee yesterday:

Spalletti sceglie la linea morbida: "E'' un arbitro di prospettiva: in un calcio di grande livello, con azioni lottate, gli va data fiducia. Due tre episodi ci sono stati, dispiace per il fuorigioco fischiato per palla servita a Mancini da Ujfalusi". Piu'' arrabbiati il direttore tecnico giallorosso Conti e l''esterno Taddei: "Questa e'' una Roma che deve giocare contro gli arbitri - ha detto il brasiliano a fine gara - ci fischiano tutto contro, ma noi lotteremo contro tutto".
