Maro, IMO had the referee not got a 'whistling every move' approach from the very beginning, your Roma players would start to think twice before falling & rolling on the ground that often. I'm not saying that some of those weren't genuine fouls, but the ref gave too much liberty to your team to dive on every possible occasion so us to cut the match's rythm. Let's assume there were 50 fouls in total yesterday, sincerely, how many of those do you think would be considered fouls outside Italy?

Seriously, Lomba, I was astonished that Cajun stayed on the pitch given the number of cynical and malicious fouls he committed. Inter went out there trying to bully our players - because they knew that in Menez and Pizarro we had technically better players but much less physically tough ones. They tried to intimidate our boys but it didn't work. That was where it started, to my mind, and not in the ref being whistle-happy or any of our players going over too easily.

as someone who has not seen the game, i can offer you a completely unbiased perspectives. the inter players were barbaric butchers as usual; while the roman players were diving pansies. glad that is settled.

Guti: I want Inter

Guti does not want to stay anymore, he wants to leave Madrid to join his former team-mate Sneijder at Inter. For now this is just a rumour that circulates in Madrid, but maybe there is already something concrete underneath.

Something is not right between Guti and the coach, he is not considered as he once was. And it is precisely this situation that has prompted the player to call his friend Wesley asking him to speak with Massimo Moratti about the possibility of a move to Milan. The possibility will certainly not excite coach Mourinho, who would hardly give the go ahead to the arrival of a player with the Guti’s characteristics.

Julio Cesar pens Inter deal

Inter have officially extended Julio Cesar’s contract until 2014, shooting down speculation he’d join Manchester United.

The Brazilian goalkeeper is widely considered to be the best in the world right now and had been heavily linked with Old Trafford, especially after his wife told newspapers they had been “bombarded” by praise from the Premiershit club.

This evening the Inter website announced that his contract has been extended to June 30 2014.

“Now I want to celebrate with many more victories,” Julio Cesar declared.

“I am very happy, thank President Massimo Moratti and the whole club. I have already won so much with Inter, but our strength is the way we continue working to reach new objectives.”

The 30-year-old started his career at Flamengo and was bought by Inter in January 2005, although due to the limit on non-EU players was loaned to Chievo for six months.

While at the Bentegodi, Julio Cesar did not play a single game, but in that same period was featuring for Brazil.

Guti can stay in Madrid. I'd take a 6 month load deal simply to have him here as an extra option even though he can't play in the CL, but that's about it.
