Yes, good week alright, which was important. I was even cheering for those Inter merda's last night, and even those Lazie... nah wait, fuck them they're muck farmers.

Has anyone got a link to highlights of the red cards? Can't find one. I'd imagine Hodgson was complaining about them because in the Premiershit they probablu wouldn't have been red cards, but in European competition its different.

Dopo la vittoria contro il Fulham, la Roma è tornata subito ad allenarsi al Fulvio Bernardini (pioggia, 15 gradi). Perrotta e Vucinic lavorano col gruppo. Per Burdisso fisioterapia. Juan inizia un lavoro differenziato anche col pallone. Sono poche le possibilità di recupero per i due difensori. Si punta quindi a mettere a disposizione di Ranieri almeno Andreolli, uscito zoppicante dopo la partita di ieri. Per i due difensori sono Assenti Doni e Totti. Lavoro defaticante per chi ha giocato ieri. Per il gruppo riscaldamento e circolazione di palla. Poi la partitella a ranghi misti con Cerci in gran forma. Presenti dieci tifosi provenienti dal Belgio.

Capital crises for Roma and Lazio

It has been a season of woe in Rome and there seems no end in sight. It has got so bad that AS Roma and Lazio ultras can't even bring themselves to laugh at the plight of the other. As Fabio Capello pointed out, Italy’s hardcore fans are still a negative influence and their actions do little to promote a family-atmosphere on match days.

However, this is Italy and protest is a part of everyday life – and with both teams in such dire straits the ultras have had to come up with ever more imaginative ways to get their point across. So, there have been the obligatory ‘paper-bombs’ lobbed into the training ground – both at Roma’s Trigoria centre and out at Lazio’s Formello base; invading the training ground to confront the players (a particular favourite amongst the Biancocelesti); and of course the usual banners and chants in the stadium.

Roman humour can very dark: last week, ahead of the Bologna game, a Giallorossi delegation presented the players with a wreath – tied up in yellow and red ribbons – to offer their condolences for the “death of the team.â€

My God, Gio... what a post! The serious parts deserve consideration and I can hardly type for laughing at the humorous side!

The serious part, our Capitan' who may or may not have enough of a "business head" to realise those particular contractual terms won't legally bind a future owner, will nonetheless swear his loyalty to la famiglia Sensi and our club. It will take a future owner who understands what Totti is and has been to Roma to honor those terms, just as you say!

Personally, I don't much care for polenta and I could never prefer it to macaroni, or should I say maccheroni. Yes, I know you are a practising Catholic. My mother used to despair of me, saying I had become a heathen despite hers and my father's insistence I went to Mass until I was old enough to be allowed to go my own way. She'd shake her head and ask if I even remembered how to say prayers! Her death when I was 43 changed my attitude to a lot of things, taught me to be more tolerant and understanding around others...except for weddings and funerals it didn't get me back to church, but most importantly it led me to reaffirm my faith in God.

I'm not at all surprised those two Barese left the restaurant. Maybe if they had been more sober they'd have...continued the discussion with your Inter supporting acquaintance outside! Cassano to them is as Totti is to us! The last Toscani who tried to look down her nose at me was an idiot who can't even string two words of Italian together and is married to a Jewish guy I have known for years. I told her Roma is the the heart of Italy and always was and she should learn to live with it! When I meet Les, her husband, she finds an excuse to leave us if she can, il bene per niente cagna Toscani! She doesn't like me. Big deal!

Yes we must hope on Sunday, of course we must. If that goes there's nothing left! I think Ranieri will have to try to figure a way to unsettle Inter. That will be our best weapon. They can be rattled, we've seen it!

Maybe you will meet the Polentone again and will be able to assure him there are two laws...one being we can say what we want to them and the other that he cannot respond. Just don't get caught!

I know I said I'd learned tolerance but he sounds like a permissable exception to my rule!

Good to know that the standard football 'banter' is creeping into the US, Ita.

I struggle to have a night out without a frank exchange of views, to put it politely, with a Rangers, Celtic or EPL fan, but that's Scotland for you.

Deini, according to Romagiallorossa Angelini is offering €240mil but it's not confirmed. I hate to say such a thing but it might be worth losing against Inter if it forces the issue!

I don't see Julio Sergio on your list but he and Lobont both trained and are both fit to play thank goodness. Just as long as that mutt Artur isn't in goal for us...

Of course, how could I forget Julio Sergio Bertagnoli is his full name? That's what happens when you post in haste!

What's much more important is that he maintains his promising standard and that if he does, it may do Doni good to see he can't just walk back in again as automatic first choice...and yes, I too have hopes for Andreolli but Ranieri will have to regularly play him. Or his agent starts the "want away" talk again...
