Milan have denied reports claiming a majority stake in the club is about to be sold to Albanian oil tycoon Rezart Taci.

Reports in Tuesday's Gazzetta Dello Sport claimed an interest from a Libyan party. Hours later, Taci confirmed his desire to buy the club, stating he would make an offer if the chance arose.

However, Fininvest, the company that runs Milan on behalf of Silvio Berlusconi, has released a statement claiming there is no intention to sell.

The statement on Milan's official website reads, "There is no possibility of selling AC Milan.

"In relation to the repeated stories in the press, Fininvest is, once again, forced to deny the claims in every way that a possibility regarding the sale of AC Milan exists."

Real Madrid Star Cristiano Ronaldo Ruled Out For A Month - Report
He has suffered a recurrence of his ankle injury...


Cristiano Ronaldo is set to miss up to a month of action for Real Madrid after sustaining an ankle injury in Portugal's 3-0 win over Hungary on Saturday, according to AS.

The winger suffered a recurrence of the same ankle injury which he picked up in Real's win over Marseille in the UEFA Champions League at the Bernabeu on September 30.

There were doubts over his fitness going into this game, after he failed to make Madrid's trip to Sevilla last weekend but after a fitness test on Friday he was declared fit to play.

Ronaldo played less than half an hour of the European Group One World Cup qualifier and following an MRI scan after his return to Madrid the club have revealed that he will be out for at least three or four weeks.

"After the clinical examination and MRI scan, the player has suffered a recurrence of his injury to his right ankle. The minimum estimated [recovery] time is three to four weeks," the medical report read.

As a result Ronaldo is likely to miss two Primera Liga ties as well as both Champions League games against Milan with a trip to the Vicente Calderon to face Atletico Madrid on November 8 a possible return date for the Madrid's top marksman.

Oguchi Onyewu out 3-4 months with torn knee tendon

WASHINGTON — AC Milan defender Oguchi Onyewu tore a tendon in his left knee playing for the United States in Wednesday’s World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica, an injury that usually requires a recovery time of three-to-four months. Onyewu fell down on the slick turf of RFK Stadium during the 83rd minute of the 2-2 draw and left the field on a stretcher. Onyewu’s injury came a day after teammate Charlie Davies was seriously injured in a car crash. Davies is unlikely to play in next year’s World Cup.

"We’ve had two days of tough news," U.S. coach Bob Bradley said. "Gooch has been a such an important part of our team." Onyewu was diagnosed with a torn patellar tendon. However, Bradley expressed confidence he would recover in time for the World Cup.

Milan hoping for compensation from U.S. over Onyewu

MILAN, Italy (AP) -- AC Milan is hoping for compensation from the United States Soccer Federation because defender Oguchi Onyewu was injured in a World Cup qualifying match against Costa Rica.

"I'm very angry because once again the national teams take players and we lose out due to injuries," Milan CEO Adriano Galliani told Italian media Thursday. "This is a problem that needs to be resolved. We at Milan are expecting compensation from the American federation. We can't pay a player who can't play for six months," Galliani said.

Onyewu tore a tendon in his left knee Wednesday. He signed a three-year contract with Milan in July. Milan said in a statement on its Web site that it had been informed of the injury by the American federation and, if further tests in the United States confirm the initial prognosis, Onyewu will be operated on. Milan said club physician Massimo Manara was "in constant contact" with Onyewu, and that coach Leonardo and several teammates had also called to offer encouragement.
