About the stadium, I really doubt the plans will be presented this week. I think it's just to driven up the price of Roma..

Meanwhile, Roma are set to unveil their stadium plan but according to City Councillor Francesco Giro they are going a bit too fast.

“I am in favour of the new stadium but I think it is quite bizarre of Roma to go ahead with this presentation before we actually decide whether or not they can do it or not,â€

Of course there won't be a presentation. I'm sure later on this afternoon we will see some half-assed excuse as to why its been delayed. How can any organisation make a presentation for such a large scale structure without first having permission from the local council? Its all just a game for Rosella to attempt to make herself look good. Who is she fooling?

The Mezzaroma family eh, well the more people wanting to buy the club the better. Pietro Mezzaroma helped Franco Sensi buy the club back in the nineties. I wonder what is Giovanni's view on them?

The new stadium looks the business and in Italia with other clubs planning likewise, for us not to have our own complex is to be left behind. But damn, the timing couldn't be worse as we need players first and foremost!

I watched Rosella this Tuesday afternoon race through her prepared statement so quickly I couldn't keep up. It's said she was in a highly emotional state and she sure looked it. I'm honestly convinced she believes this project is all possible, despite the fact that planning permission hasn't been granted, but since the mayor has given his approval...

Once accomplished, there is still the no small matter of the purchase of the site and I won't even touch on the well publicised debt of €500mil!

Though I've always maintained Rosella would do her utmost to somehow stay in charge, at very least until the point of no return is reached on the construction of this enterprise, I cannot believe she thinks she could go as far as to put together an elaborate hoax, and by that I mean promise this huge complex just to get back the fans' support, as many seem to think, then somewhere down the line fob us off with little better than a token gesture affair...and still expect to retain the well wishes of all Romanisti!

So. If we treat her statement seriously, clearly this is a holy grail to her. Not just for her father's memory, but just as importantly because she wants to go down in club history as being the instigator of the brilliant plan to carry Roma to bigger and better! If by hook or by crook she keeps control of Roma then she obviously expects this project at least in part to fund a new team...

She further expects all work to be done within five years or less, yet she is financially broke in a business sense, personal funds excepted? Like it or not (and I don't) we would seem to be stuck with her for some time to come. Again, as I say, if we take her to her word, and keep in mind that of course our club's activities are all strictly above board!

...and I always thought Gepetto was an old man with only one puppet! Somebody not like that at all is making somebody somewhere dance. To more than one tune!
