Jose Mourinho was in an irritated mood after watching his side lose to Sampdoria on Saturday evening, issuing a biting comment on opposing boss Luigi Del Neri.

Samp boss Del Neri, who replaced Mourinho at FC Porto in 2004, consigned Mourinho’s men to their first league defeat of the season at the Stadio Ferraris, and having led Atalanta to a famous 3-1 victory over the Nerazurri last season, the record between the managers was put to the Portuguese after the match.

Sneijder out of Kazan trip

Inter will make their Champions League trip to Russia without Wesley Sneijder, as he will miss the match against Rubin Kazan.

The Dutchman did not feature in yesterday's 1-0 Serie A defeat at Sampdoria due to a hip problem and has still not recovered.

Sneijder remains in Milan along with teammates David Suazo and Thiago Motta, so Jose Mourinho could opt for a trident attack with Mario Balotelli.

Another option is the diamond midfield with Dejan Stankovic in a more advanced position, while Esteban Cambiasso is now fit again after a long lay-off following knee surgery.

Inter's match with Rubin Kazan kicks off at 17.30 UK time on Tuesday evening.

The referee assigned to this tie is Norwegian Terje Hauge.

Don't you think Mourinho just has so little grace? I don't like Del Neri, but what kind of a comment was that? It's not as though Del Neri was the one suggesting he had Moaninho's measure, no? He's such a classless prick who'd do well to win and lose with a bit more grace than he currently manages. That, anyway, has long been my feeling and he just keeps on adding to that impression.

He's looking nervous because like every coach, he's under pressure. We're alternating world class performances with less inspiring ones and now we go away in the CL to Russia without the 2 players that he bought to make our midfield function properly needing 3 points. It's obvious he's also got some vendetta against the media as well. Then after that, we've got Udinese who're only a couple of points away from us on the table. I suppose this would be the point where he'd walk up to Zlatan and tell him to bring home the points single handedly.

I had said before the season started that this team needed a big physical presence up front to alternate with one of the strikers when the match gets tough & tight. Of course, no team is perfect and after this summer's tranfer market, I surely cannot complain much. But fact is we do need someone like that upfront. Someone to rely upon when the midfield is made up of not technically gifted midfielders, such as Muntari, Zanetti or Vieira. When there is Sneijder & Motta in there, the team can develop a good flow, but without them, we're back to last year's tactic. Ball forward for the big towering striker, and God help us all, only that now we dont have the big, towering striker, so God doesnt help us at all...
