Un incontro, informale, per parlare. Anche della Roma. Francesco Angelini e Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone (vestito in modo elegante ma estivo, con camicia e giacca chiara, pantaloni di lino e mocassino, senza calzini) si sarebbero visti oggi, intorno alle 16.30, al Tennis Club Parioli. Un confronto tra imprenditori romani per intavolare un discorso sul possibile passaggio di mano della As Roma. Angelini, lo ha rivelato in due interviste al Corriere dello Sport, sogna da tempo di poter acquisire il club di Trigoria. Caltagirone, editore del Messaggero e noto costruttore, potrebbe essere interessato alla realizzazione dello stadio di proprietà della Roma. I due si sarebbero visti in presenza dell’avvocato di Angelini e ― sembrerebbe ― di una figura di spicco di Unicredit, all’interno della Club House del circolo sportivo. In tanti, al 'Parioli', hanno smesso di giocare a tennis e si sono diretti a caccia di notizie presso la reception antistante la sala della riunione, situata al primo piano, in una zona molto tranquilla. Si tratterebbe del terzo incontro tra Angelini e Caltagirone, che nei due contatti di luglio (uno tra loro, l'altro in compagnia di alcuni esponenti del Sindaco), si sarebbero dati appuntamento per oggi. Tra giovedì e venerdì potrebbe essere fatta pervenire ad Unicredit una proposta per l’acquisizione del pacchetto di maggioranza per una cifra complessiva (Opa compresa) di 240 milioni di euro, che sarebbero così divisi: 140 di Angelini e 100 di Caltagirone. L’obiettivo sarebbe arrivare all’acquisto del club entro Natale. Si parla del 18 dicembre come di una data che potrebbe diventare molto importante. Guarda caso, un venerdì. Quando la Borsa chiuderà per quello che potrebbe essere un lungo week end. Da colorare di giallo e rosso.

Claudio Ranieri To Replace Luciano Spalletti As Coach Of Roma – Report
The Giallorossi could be set for a switch at the top, following a dismal start to the campaign.

Roma fans are becoming increasingly discontented with their current coach Luciano Spalletti, following a disappointing summer of transfers and two poor performances to kick start the 2009/10 Serie A season.

In fact, as a result of their two defeats to Genoa and Juventus respectively, the proud Roman club are bottom of the league table, after two rounds of football.

Consequently, there have been rumours emerging suggesting that Spalletti could be out of the job in the coming days, with some potential replacements already being lined up.

According to Sky Sports, one of those is Claudio Ranieri, the former boss of Juventus, and a man that has plenty of experience in the Italian topflight.

The reports go on to suggest that the Giallorossi will meet with their current coach tomorrow to discuss his position, however it is expected that he will be shown the door, which may allow Ranieri to step in.

Ranieri just might help you guys grind out results better than Spalletti. Say good bye to beautiful football though. If you want to aim for the top 4, Ranieri could just be what you need.

I don't know if the Tinkerman would be anything more than a breath of air. I personally rate Spalletti, look at what he inherited and what he made it into with such little support. Although I'm not optimistic, it's only been 2 games and thus we shouldn't have the axes out yet.

It would be nice if there was some more youth commitment on his part though, I will agree. We can't forget how little peace there at the top of the organization. Such instability cannot be good for morale
